john deer f525
I'm a goat farmer in rural Arkansas. My hobby is building anything mechanical that is an antique. Including tractors. Well especially tractors.

I got started because there are 5 girls and one boy in my family and being one of the younger girls, the only way I could get my Papa to talk to me was to be out working on cars with him.

I discovered tools. You can never have all of them. There is always a tool you don't have or you need two of. :D

Then I discovered I'm good at mechanical stuff. And then I discovered I love antique machines... Well you get the idea.

However, right now, I am not working on an antique... I am helping a fella who has a John Deere F525. I need a wiring diagram. BECAUSE, he has to turn it over about 10 or 20 times to get it to start. I suspect there is an electrical short somewhere in the wiring harness and need to trouble shoot it. :confused2:

Anyone have a diagram they can scan and upload?

Thanks everyone. Tried to download from Marksweb, but it keeps getting stopped by my virus scanner. I did find the problem, though. It was a short in the clutch wire. Bare wire touching the chassis under the steering column. Problem solved. What a headache to take the thing apart, though. Great little mower.

Now on to finding and rebuilding an antique. There are lots of them around here in Arkansas. I am dying to get my hands on one.

BTW, there is a big PINK tractor down the road a piece from my house. Anybody seen that video about the pink tractor from craigslist?

I am a 3D CAD designer so if ever you have an idea for something I can make a electronic model that can be used for patents or machining, never a charge for TBN's that is unless they make millions then it would be nice to be remembered:)

Yes, there is a pink tractor parked on the side of the road about 1/2 mile from here. I will take a picture tomorrow.
Here's the link to the video...

If someone wants to give it to me, I WILL TAKE IT AND DRIVE IT. I'm not a tractor snob...

I have to admit, that was a pretty good video!

I have a 706 Farmall, thank goodness it weathered to a russet red and NOT pink :)

Look forward to that picture...I think
