I don't think there is any one "best" site for repair info. What I have found is that a forum for enthusiasts of that car (whatever brand/model) is the best source.

For a number of vehicles I have owned, I have found these threads, searched for the problem as a thread topic. Usually, there is plenty of info and links to additional information about the problem.

Pontiac Grand Prix Forums : Grandprix

This is just one that I found- maybe it will help

What kind of vehicle? CBW is correct, doing a GOOGLE search for the make/model vehicle specifying "forums" will turn up a wealth of info on that specific vehicle/issue.

I go to a forum for my Superduty. Another one for my Highlander. Still another for our '69 Firebird. And another for the Samurai. Another for people like me that live off-grid. Yet one more for all of us employed by the same conglomerate to whine to each other.

This forum is for my PT plus generally helpful information at the Rural Living and Other topics sections.

Are there members here that still only frequent one or two forums?

I confess........... I am a member of only 2 forums. This and a BBQ site.

I further confess that I have only lurked about on several other sites to gather info on car repairs. I am afraid that if i start joining, I won't be able to control myself........!

REALLY! I thought that I just had too much time on my hands. Actually, I check out the forums when I come over from the shop for lunch and then later on after dinner. TV just doesn't do it for me this time of year. Now when college football starts..........man LOOK OUT!

Phil - could you share with me what forum you go to for Samurai information. I'm having some issues again with my Samurai and am looking for some help.

PM me if you don't want to post it. Thanks.

post here on tbn in the repairs or the trans forum. Most of us here work on stuff, someone is bound to know that vehicle have one or is just a mecanic. You can get most of what you need here, unless its something crazy like a bad wire in the harness for the crank sensor or something that those type gurus would know exactly where to point you.

I think this is the best one, tho there are others: Suzuki Jimny, Sierra & Samurai Forum - Suzuki Forums: Suzuki Forum Site

What issues are plaguing you?

Phil

My Samurai sat for about a year because of multiple issues (mostly the Samurai "death wobble". I finally got all of that fixed, then it needed new tires, shocks, steering stabilizer, door handles (inside and out), radio, etc. When I finally got all that going, it would start but would not idle. I had put on a Weber carb and Strictly Suzuki intake years ago, so I got a rebuild kit for the carb and installed that. After that, it started good, ran great and would idle good. After about a month, it reached the point that if I didn't start it a couple of times a day, I would have to re-prime the carb or else it would just crank and never start. Once it's running, it runs fine.

Some I'm trying to figure out if I have a carb problem, a fuel pump problem or something else. Like I said, I rebuilt the carb and it ran great for about a month, now this.

I would love some advice if any of you guys have any.

Thanks.

Float adjustment maybe? I once had a late-70s F-150 where the float had to be exact...otherwise it would be hard to start after sitting a few days.
