Tore of roofing from shop for reroof, covered it backup with plastic because it started raining.

I......Baled 90 round bales hay.
Rest of farm sprayed 300 ares fungicide on wheat and 200 acres fungicide on canola and baled/ hauled 110 big squares of hay .

Thanks for videos. Being inside to stay cool in 102 degree weather in Ohio makes me double-sweat just watching your workout.

I mowed with the DR around the house. For the first time this year, it has been real busy at my jobs, and the grass was, shall we say, a bit long. lol It took almost six hours to mow. I hit some HT wire and then the gear selector failed. A pin in the linkage worked its way out yet somehow did not get lost in the grass. I had to pound it back into place so I don't see how the thing worked its way out in the first place.

The temp was supposed to hit 102 today and our thermometer showed 100 at noon. The wifey put the thermometer in the house to wash down the porch so it might have gotten to 102.

I have never been able to work the DR more than three hours. The only way I could finish today was to wrap a ice pack in a wet towel to hang on the back of my neck. I put one or two other wet towels over the ice pack to stay cool. Even then I had to stop every hour for peanuts, juice and water. It was HOT out but at least the humidity was low. The ice pack trick work out real well. The DR was sputtering on the last bit of gas when I finished. It was finished and so was I.

Watered all morning, then worked in my "air conditioned" shop until it hit 95 in there about 3pm. My air conditioner just can't keep up with this heat, topped out at 108* today. In my 61 years, I don't remember the temperature ever getting that high around here! ~~ grnspot

Been working on sanding and painting my trailer. Slow process, but looking better. The rain held off- gave it time to dry.

Due to dry conditions the cattle have been stressing the fence to neighbor. trying to get another bite of grass.breaking the wires down and crossing into neighbors land. Moved the cows and now cutting the cedar trees cleaning up the fence row and putting new barb wire in place of the former hog wire. intensive sweating in this heat.near or over 100 deg. Getting old 76 and the younger aged workers unable to work outside. Wondering what the next generation is going to do when it is there turn to repair anything having to hold a cell phone in one hand and look at it.
Guzzeling sodas instead of water.
All the green card workers and (undocumented)have returned to Mexico and so now unable to get workers.
What are those hiring workers doing? Last 2 local youth were druggies and not relilable to let work by them selves. I'll feel better when weather cools down.

Unable to get workers? Take away food stamps and there will be a line of people looking for work at your gate/door!!

I apologize in advance if this post is inappropriate for this thread but I feel strongly that one of the reasons the USA is in trouble is due to the fact that people do NOT discuss politics.

The 2 workers supposed to be here at 8 a.m. (it is now 10 a.m. ) have not arrived.
If you are on the dole it upsets the releif workers to lose her daily work load by them finding a job.
I cannot discuss politics with family much less with others.

Ken, it is IMPORTANT to discuss politics with family. That's how they learn. Teach the children while young so they grow up knowing how to discuss politics.

Just saw a comment on t.v. about the Death Tax to be put back and lady asked should there be a tax on your death rather than giving to family to pass along the farm . Answer was He wouldn't care because there dead.
Thinking like this is reason cannot comment on the Daily news much less on daily politics.
Thanks for your concern but they will not read Ayn Rand's book Alas Shrugged either
