Tractor on the way

After reading TBN forums for quite a while, I purchased my first tractor, a JD 3320 today. I'm really appeciative of the many thoughtful posts that I've read here over the past several months as I researched tractors. I have a lot to learn as I embark on cleaning up our recently purchased property. The JD will be coming with a backhoe, logging winch, forks, and loader. Tiller, rake, and box blade to come a little later.

Congrats on the new machine! I also recently purchased property and am considering the same setup minus the logging winch and forks. Do you mind me asking how much you paid? I've received a few quotes lately for 38k. That includes tractor, backhoe, ccx loader and MMM deck.

I took delivery of mine a couple weeks ago. Very satisfied with it, very capable machine!

I ended up buying a used one - 2008 with 600 hrs in very clean condtion. It was $21k for the tractor/FEL (300CX) and 447 BH. It was another $5K for the winch, forks, and adding a thumb to the BH. The quote for a new 3320 (just tractor and BH) was $32k. Harvest Equipment in VT is the dealer.

I have a tiller from my other tractor (frontier48). It's a little small for the 3320 but I dont use it that much. I went with a 5' woods box blade . 5' frontier rear rotary cutter. I think my next attachment will be a grapple.

What do you find to be a good RPM range for the 3320?

I usually work it in between 2000-2500 rpm's depending upon terrain and the implement.
