$109 for the hydrostatic filter for the DK50. (The last liar always wins, but sadly, not lying on this one)

Highbeam, do you or anyone know if there are after market equivalents for that one?

I found the article: from 9/09:

See the section on air infiltration and especially dust control.
They say NOT to reuse, clean, wash or blow out an air filter, for what seems like obvious reasons....
I'm not saying I do or don't buy into the throw them away thinking- I'm JUST reporting what I read. Part of their premise was about the stuff you CAN'T see, the microscopic sand, dust, etc. that gets dislodged and then sucked into the engine.
I did replace mine at the 400hr service, as per the manual.
Personally, I'm going to go with what the trade mag says is the thing to do based on the latest know-how regarding equipment which cost substantially more then my tractor's engine.

My dealer said to blow the air filter from the inside-out as blowing it from the outside-in will only cause the particles to embed deeper into the filter. I bought me a telescoping blow nozzle for my air compressor at Harbor Freights. Does anyone use a shopvac to vaccum out the filter vs. blowing it off?
Strange as it may seem, I can't find in my manual when I should change the air filter on my JD 4320. Does anyone know?
