B2320 ag tire users!

I'm looking at a B2320 narrow in the hydrostatic drive. Its 37 inches wide. The B2320 standard says it's 45.1 inches wide at the minimum tread. However I think that is with R4 industrial tires. I think the AG tires on a starndard B2320 mine bring the width down to about 43 inches from what I can tell. Anyone out there that has a B2320 could you go out and measure it to see how narrow you think it would go front and rear??? hahahah.......Thanks very much......I'm leaning to the narrow for the position control....going to be just a garden tiller flat land tractor.

I'm at home building a garage and the B2320 is at the rental property or I'd get the measurement. Will maybe be there tomorrow and can get it then. Think Brady is working on selling my F2680E before making me an offer. That could be good for a buyer that wants the Kubota used financing, Barlows delivery or both.:thumbsup:

The way Kubota lists the specs on the B2320 is weird to me, all the way around. They state the width/height, etc on the 2320 as being "different" from the 2620/2920, but that is with different wheels/tires on them. Really odd.

The spec sheet shows the 2320 with smaller tires than the 26 or 29, but when you get R4, all three tractors are fitted with exact same tire and wheel and the dimensions equal out are then the same.

Sooooooo, I suspect the specs, as given, might actually be with turfs or Ags, with the 2320 having a slightly smaller turf or Ag standard, thus creating the dimensional differences in height/width, etc.

I have R4s and my 2320 is indeed 49 width. Having seen pix of John's with Ags, I am certain it is at least 6" narrower. (tomorrow will tell the tale)


Of course, none of this applies to the Narrow anyhow.

All the dimensions for the Kubota B-series are given with ag tires as standard equipment. This is why there are some differences between the B2320/2620/2920 dimension wise (different size ag tires.)

Thats what I thought also. But my mom's B3030 has R4s and the Kubota site list 54.1 inches minimum tread.......that is what it is......54 inches wide on the button with industrials. Looking at the tires its hard to imagine the AGs not being more narrow than her R4s.

The reason for all this is I'm disabled and grow sweet corn. Troy bilt tiller is on its last legs and so I wanted a tiller I could "ride". The BCS with a sulky would cost about 6 grand and might not even work. So moved up to a narrow Kubota using a 34 inch CCM tiller.......I could keep my rows at 45 inches. Other jobs for the tractor too of course but thats the sweet job I had in mind for it. With a standard width B 2320 the rows would have to be about 52 wide. Might not get good polination from my corn. Been thinking about this for about ten years LOL. Its a dumb idea but I like to think about it anyhow.

No. Your rows don't need to be 52".

I market garden produce with my B2320 with R4s. Yup, they're fat!!!:laughing:

My rows are 44". No problems, comfy even with the fat old R4. Had I gone with Ags, I don't have a doubt my rows could easily have been 38"-40". Remember, when your rows are 40" and you are straddling a row with a cultivator, as in my photo, you actually have 80" between the two outer rows, if that makes sense.

I messed up. I forgot to measure the exact width of my B2320 with the skinny Ag tires today. The Kubota site shows them to be a lot smaller than the R4 tires in width. I'll make a note and do it Sat or Monday when I go back out if you still want me to. I may go earlier if BP brings my R4s and wants his Ags before then. Again, I'm sorry. Usually more reliable but I'm in past the middle of building a garage and had my mind on rounding up needed supplies to use for my garage project.

An easy way to get a close measurement to overall width is to take the 'tread' measurement posted in the specs and add the width of one tire. For example, with the B2320 on Ag tires, the tread is (35.5) + tire width (9.5) = 45"

For the Industrial tires, it would be 35.5+12 = 47.5" (this may not be exact, but it will be close)

This formula is also nice to figure the different widths of tractors with multiple rear tread settings. Like the B2320 narrow which can be set from 35.5 to 37.5" overall width, IIRC it can go even wider if you flip the rear hubs.

Or even easier is get a tape measure and measure the distance from the outer edge of each tire, if you have one. Believe it would be more accurate. I'll do that on Monday, already have a note to myself to do it.

Went out today and measured (had my note to self) the distance from the outer edge of the rear Ag tires on my B2320. Looks awful close to a bit over 45" to maybe 46"s depending on how much air is in the tires to make the sides more straight up or a bit rounded.

Well, "Max" (B2320) arrived with FEL, HST and Land Pride 4' brush hog! Pretty little thing. I got the ag tires, I'm in deep East Tx and it gets a bit boggy here once in a while...not very good for 'turf tyres'

I have to complete the book before I'll take it out for its paces, , , he's replacing an Aliss Chalmers 1981 model and Max has a lot more lights and sirens.
