New Max series...

Wow!!!
I'm not going to get into the middle of a "spitting" contest. But I just don't understand all the ruckus over how a tractor is tagged.
I'm very new to this great forum, and I have owned a little 1979 Kubota B6100 for many years.
Rwork,
Welcome to the forum.:) Never mind the ruckus makers. They pop up from time to time and usually are owners of a different color tractor. I never can understand why they have to have everyone agree with them.
Happy tractor hunting.
hugs, Brandi

Since there no official standard for the term SUB CUT, Mahindra is just raising the bar by setting a new standard. As Dave said, call it what you want, but SUB CUT is the market Mahindra is after, with the MAX. You never know, someday the term could become MAX, kind of like the term bush hog, or the manufacturer Bush Hog.

Actually there is:

As I stated in another thread, the clearest defining line between the subcut, and the cut, is the lifting height of the 3pt. hitch.

A subcut, generally takes specially made implements to deal with the low lifting height of the 3pt hitch.

The Max series with tires that are 3 inches higher(4 in the case of ags), will allow the use or full cat 1 implenents. Making the Max series a Cut, not a subcut.

As I stated in (two) other threads:

And as I said in the other thread, Kubota classifies their BX series as a Cat 1 full 3PH. This leaves that Kubota is playing the same 'deceptive advertising' campaign either by not saying it's a limited, or by not classifying it as a CUT.
Martian said:
But to your theory, Kubota's BX does not have a Cat 1 limited (proper term) 3PH. The BX has a full Cat 1 hitch. So is Kubota misrepresenting their product as well? Deere's 1 series has a Cat 1 limited, so it's obviously unfair for Kubota to compare to the 1 series...

Rant all you want.

The max series may be a fine tractor, but it is a compact tractor, not a subcompact as advertised.

You wanted proof.........it's been given but you continue to argue. As LD1 says..........you can call it what you want, but don't deceive other people.

I'm only providing the counter argument to what you say. Through all of these meaningless posts we have done nothing constructive. You are demeaning the Mahindra brand and it's respective dealers on TBN and not. I am only supporting them to not portray Mahindra as a brand to veer away from to prospective buyers because of all your negative comments. In the end game, it doesn't matter what you call the tractor, it matters what it does for it's consumer. I don't get why you are in such an uproar about something that doesn't effect you, at all. Mahindra wants the SCUTs to become bigger, but yet more versatile, as in their turning radius and capacities. They have succeeded in that. I can think of a million things that can be 'deceptive advertising', but then again, isn't that just advertising?

If you say so..........I also have a subcut. My tiller was made for a subcut. My cultivator is a full cat 1, and will drag the ground if I hit a slight bump.

That is the difference between cut and subcut..........and you know this. You are not a newbie here.

But I did notice that you list no bx in your sig line, and I haven't seen a BX CUT before...........build it yourself?

Maybe that's because Kubota actually has the full Cat 1 hitch claimed. And therefore should be a CUT.
