Anybody ever try pulling a single bottom garden plow with a GC series tractor ?

Have a 10" single bottom on MF 14 garden tractor and a homemade 2 bottom 10" I use on MF 205 compact diesel at garden tractor plow days. Used to have a single on 205, hardly knew it was back there. Not ready yet but also have a 3 bottom 8" orchard plow for the 205, need to get the hitch done first. Have a plow day Sat April 14 schedualed weather permitting.

I don't see why you shouldn't give it a try... depending on the soil conditions, ag tires might be advantageous...
In other word, lack of traction, not power, will potentially be an issue.

I tried pulling a old Massey Harris 2 furrow 12" plow the other day, could only put it in the ground about 5 inches before the tires spun.:( I have turf tires so I think I should be able to pull a single furrow pretty easily.:D

I do have a Brinly plow from an old JD ..... maybe I'll make a 3pt hitch adapter and try that.

I was going to cut up my plow to make a single furrow 3PH but some offered to by the plow from me so I can just buy a 3ph one.

Made a 3pth plow out of a old single horse/ox plough for the GC 2300 it works good. The pic shows it working in a old un worked garden and it worked pretty good.

I have an old David Bradley plow that I purchased off E-bay. I modified it to fit my GC2400. It's an 8 or 9 inch IIRC. Worked well for what it is.

I pulled it fine with turfs, but my wife didn't like the results of the plow, and the one row cultivator.............so I bought a tiller.

Want to buy the plow?

Found a used plow. It is a Brinley PP-1200 ..... single bottom 12 inch for compact tractors w/Cat 1 hitch. It has a FORD id tag and is painted the factory blue - Ford Model 100. Apparenty Ford had Brinley make them for their smaller tractors. I'll get a pic soon.

My neighbor used it last week. He has an older Kubota 4x4 sub compact with a 2 cyl deisel. Once he got the proper adjustments on his three point hitch figured out - it worked good.

i have a 10" Brinly that I had used as a sleeve hitch for my Craftsman tractor. Going to modify it to fit the 3 pt on the Massey.
