BX2360 Fuel filter change

Got a day off and I'm almost at 100 hours so...any tips or tricks for a fuel filter change on a 2360?

The front one is straight forward. The rear one is harder to access. You'll also need to clamp off the hose in the rear to prevent diesel fuel from flowing.

Kinda like a surgeon clamping off a bleeder.

I install a valve in mine on the first change so it easy thereafter.

A little 1/8" ball valve with 1/4" or 5/16" barbed ends. I think I got them at a Parker dealer.

thake a pair off vise grip and put it on the fuel line and it want leak that what i did and its work great

I use 2 hose clamps purchased at Sears for $15 a piece. No leaks at all during the filter swap.

I'm sticking with the manual and going for the 500 hour replacement. Going to the trouble of filtering the fuel as it is added to the tank should give me even cleaner fuel and make it to 500 hours with no problems. And I think I'll just use the hose clamp idea when I get there because adding a shut off is just another source of leaks IMO.

And they will not "chew" up the rubber like vice grips!
Although, Tod, I do like the valve that kevinj installed!:thumbsup:

Changed the filter today and took a pic of it in place.

when I change my fuel filter, I use a sharpie and right hours and date on it. ANd I also use vise grips on the under fuel filter on my bx24
