I was mainly worried about the HF quick hitch being weaker than the others so thats why I had to hear from you guys what you like and what works the best in your opinin. My implements are Landpride and new so based on the info, sounds like it will work fine. Thanks again

Put Pats on my b2710 and like them a lot. Though if I need the backhoe I need to take them off. Fortunately I don't use the bh much

The HF unit looks as sturdy as any other. My stuff is Land Pride also and like I said the only problem was the box scraper on dimensions. I used a 4 1/2" grinder and cut both hooks down in 1/2 hour. Just remember the pin and top flex link problem. I am pretty handy with tools and welding so it was a snap for me to make the mods.

Do they give you extra bushings? Or how much are they??

My speeco from tsc came with the 1st set of bushings. The Northern Tools came with a set as well because I have a spare in the tool box. They are not cheap ~ $30 at tsc.

At 64 I'm not complaining. Rather spend my energy doing something other than wrestling with a huge piece of metal. The B3200 sports a hydraulic top link which makes hook up even easier.

My Speeco from TSC also came with a set of bushings and the Y connector. The only change that I made was to remove the bolts that hold the top hook on and replace them with removable pins.
The hook has to be repositioned when I switch from snowblower to rotary cutter. Not a big issue because I don't change implements that often. The rotary cutter gets used 2-3 times per summer. A ballast box is on at all other times except for winter when the blower stays on from November til spring.

I've got the Cat 1 version from HF. I use it on my B3300SU for my BushHog shredder, my 6 foot grader blade, my subsoiler, my 3pt scoop when I want to move more dirt than my FEL can haul for each trip and to occasionally pull a 1500# capacity dump cart using a drawbar. No problems and it definitely makes hooking up MUCH easier. I recently added a hyd top link so hooking up is even easier. I welded some hangers to the top of the quickhitch where I can hang 4 suitcase weights for counter weight for the FEL. Only thing I can say is, I wish I had put a quickhitch on the two tractors I've owned before my current 3300.

I love the JD iMatch on my L3830. Painted it black so it didn't clash with my orange.

I do not like the cheap imported HF and TSC quick hitches. Deere or Land Pride were my only options.

All my addons are on dollies. Since those are moveable every which way, you don't need a quick hitch.

Pat's! I'm constantly changing implements and they work great.

+1 on that. My tractor has the telescoping lift arm extensions. The Pat's model I bought replaces the arm ends completely. There are no changes in any distances and it's seamless and easy.

I have the HF quick hitch for a year now so far no problems. Just looking on next months coupons and the quick hitch is on sale for $70. If nothing else its a good price even if you end up modifying it. Here is a link to the coupon. http://images.harborfreight.com/hftusa/itc/7861/images/80.jpg Its an Inside track coupon but they usually don't care and honor the coupon even if you are not a member.

The problem I see with people and their QH's is they cheap out and buy the low grade hitch and then get peeved when things don't work. The JD iMatch is nice but an adjustable top hook is a must IMHO. That is why I recommend the Landpride. Top quality with adjustments. I haven't found an attachment yet that it will not work on.

Buy the Harbor Freight version, take the money you save and put it towards a welder and a grinder. If you have a tractor you need a welder and grinder anyway. No need to pay big bucks for a quick hitch.

I have the the HF quick hitch and the Y adapter to use with my M5040 Kubota. So far it has worked great, no issues. I have used it to lift and pull the disc harrow, box blade etc.. so it has been worked hard and had quite a bit of a load on it with no issues. When my buddy saw how quick I could back up and hook up an implement, he had to have one too.

Priefert quick hitch. Adjust for cat 1 or cat 2 implements and has an adjustable/reversible top link

Both my el cheapo quick hitches have adjustable top hooks. Ditto on have not found an attachment that it will not work with. I like my $100 Northern Tool unit.

with dollies one can move in & out, left & right but not up & down
I have both dollies and a quick hitch (JD Imatch) IMHO you NEED/WANT both
had dollies first but with addition of quick hitch life much easier for my 72 year old body if you are going to have only one get the QH feel that adjustable top hook is necessary would look long and hard at Landpride

Gus: I find it easier to just drop the hitch arms to the bottom and lift each arm manually as necessary to fit it on the pins. I find this most useful when connecting the PTO shafts as typically I angle the attachment on its dolly, make the PTO connection and then swing the other arm in place. Up and down does not come into play. Now this is on a BX and things are tight. Works well for my rotor tiller, chipper and bagger. Obviously everyone develops their own technique and mine works for me. Quick hitch has its merits as well.
