Bummer, bent the hand crank

Got to use the snow blower. Bent the turn crank for the chute and the top link 3 point mount.

The crank must have got in position where rear the tire could grab it. I did not see the possibility of it happening.

Tried bending it back with the weight of the blower, but it did not even budge.

Not sure how much woods will want for a upper 3 point mount.

Strange that it could happen. My blower is at least 3 or more feet out from the tires. What did it catch on?

Yes, had the crank all the way back. Did not see it happening.

Id just eliminate the hand crank all together and convert it to electric or hydraulic rotation.
Mine is hydraulic and I love it :thumbsup:.
Once you convert it you'll probably be glad it broke.
Not 100% what brand you have but It could be as easy a getting a kit to convert your brand blower to hyd rotation.
There are lots of threads on the web about these conversions.

Did it catch on a tire or the tractor some place when you where raising the blower. I know the crank on my old blower would hit the tractor when raised if you weren't careful.

From the picture it looks like it could be straightened out with a large pipe wrench with a pipe slide over the handle for leverage. The hand crank part could also be straightened the same way using a vise and the pipe wrench trick.

Ya, i second the simple straightening it method. Then id throw the piece out and add a hydraulic or electric chute rotator. I added an hydraulic rotator to my old farm king...man was that ever worth the $$$$

Not sure, but I think it caught the tire on the with the crank on the low side, when I was lowering it and backing up.

I caught mine on the tire earlier this year, looks bad but it still works. I'm going to convert mine to Hyd as soon as I get some time.

Bending your still is better than what happened to an owner of a cab Kioti DK unit that my dealer told me about last winter. He decided he didn't need a hydraulic snowblower deflector (or electric) so he bought a cheaper handle model. When he raised it up it shattered his rear window. Ended up costing him alot more than a hydraulic rotator......which he also had to buy.

That's why I changed mine to the electric turn. I got lucky as mine only hit the window no breakage.

Look in the build it yourself section. Several replies to how to turn the shoot today. I used a power window motor. Altogether it cost me about $30 to convert.
