My grandfather was a pig farmer and a little superstious about names, and treating everything and everyone with respect and it or they would return the favor. So he always named his equipment, and it must work because he rarely had breakdowns and was often helping the fellow farmers that did breakdown. So I have always named my equipment because of my grandfather that was the hardest working person I have ever known. Rest his soul !

Same here have never named my equipment. Heck most of my JD'S/Bota's have been flawless besides maintenance. I've rarely even had to "cuss" at them. :)

In our house our JD2520 has a couple of names; I refer to it as 'her' and my bride refers to the 2520 as "the other wife". :thumbsup:

RED sounds good but I despise HAROLD since that was the name of my wife's old boy friend even though it was 50 yrs ago. You asked....... LOL.
