I do miss snow plowing...but I don't miss having to refill the oil tank (lower heating costs).
My biggest concern is how well the aquifier will replenish itself with so little snow...that might result in well problems for us in the Spring and Summer.

Last year we had 140% of the snow pac. This year I don't even see snow in the mountains behind me. Even AK has less snow this winter than last. Hunted the river before I left and the level was at 12.5 feet, that is the lowest I have seen it at for this time of year as it generally averages 14-17 feet. Water may be a big issue this summer.

I confess I'm the one who caused this. I bought a 66" snowblower in December. Almost guarantees no snow here. It was at least 52 here in NE PA yesterday. No snow, but plenty of mud...

No winter here. The bay finally froze, but there's no snow. Forecast is for another couple weeks of +/- weather. I prefer winter to mud season.......

The horses are still going out (free turnout) to the pasture to eat everyday. They are not so interested in hay. That's in January... the fields should be covered in a foot or two of snow! There is brown, but a lot of green still in the grass. The ground top layer has frozen, but I saw an excavator working yesterday. In the high 30's today at 10-11 am. (Central Maine)

Some snow in the forecast finally, the forecast is maybe lowland snow so we always get snow when they say that. Looking forward to trying out my new tractor. Also have a brand new ariens blower I bought last year so I need to use it. The heated grips are more useful than expected and this thing really tosses the snow.

I chose not to get the heated grips or electric start on my Ariens 8/24.
Didn't think I needed them (the heated grips) but on at least a few occasions now I wish I had them.

When My fingers were freezing and was trying to warm hands and gloves with the exhaust! It does work by the way.

Rain today in Southern New England, but it's supposed to be snow up North.

Mine is the platinum edition and was surprised how well the grips work, worked three hours last winter at 15f with bare hands, has two settings low and hi, works great on low with gloves and hi without. The electric start is nice when it's really cold, but the best feature is the power steering, turns on a dime.
