Kubota B2920 2011 - 2012 Price difference?

I had opportunity to purchase a 2011 Kubota B2920 which dealer stated was new for a certain price but had 24 hours on it but quoted me new price for it. I requested a new one with 0 hours and they have to go back and check what the 2012's if there is a price increase as that was the only one in stock. Anyone out there that can verify if prices are same or if there was an increase, before dealer calls back.

I do not know, but any difference should be absorbed by the dealer. You ordered a new machine for his quoted price, you got a used one. I would worry about future service needs, can you now trust this guy?

Normally tractors don't go by year model like cars and trucks, so there may or may not be a significant price differential oe way or the other depending on when they were delivered.

You, however, got a used machine and I would not pay new price for a used tractor.

My understanding is that there will be a price increase on February 1.

My brother is working on a deal on a MX5100 right now and that was a 'horizon date' for him to put money into the deal or pay the new price, whatever that may be.

I had the same situation back in 2008 when we bought our new in the crate BX2660. It was bought in April and was the next to the last one in stock, the price was going to be higher on the next shipment.

Our dealer does not go by dates, but rather what it costs him, so if a tractor was in stock, the price did not go up when there was a general price increase.

My dealer is willing to hold the price IF he puts money in the ring.

My brother is loking for the tractor, backhoe, box blade, forks, PHD, and a few other toys.

The dealer will hold the price on ALL of the equipment if he buys the forks.

Technically, the dealer could hold the price because that's what he bought it for, but why should he if he can get more money for the same thing?

Has the dealer called back?

I would not except someone telling me I have to pay more money for the tractor I paid for. I'd either go to a local Kubota rep or tell the dealer I want my money back and go to another dealer or another brand (nothing against the tractor but I'd be POed if I had to pay more than what I was promised)

Also as others have mentioned, how are you supposed to trust this dealer down the road with other problems with your tractor, different warranty issues etc. They make it right or get your money back and go elsewhere.

One thing noted that I see a few posts thinking I have bought the 25hr B2920, I have not yet because I was told new tractor before I looked at it and seen the 25 hours prompting me to request a new one with no hours. Just to clear things up. FYI they said 17,500 on that unit described as new. FEL and 60" mmm.

That is why I use my dealer, he is more interested in treating the customer fairly than making a few extra dollars. It has paid him well in our case as we have bought three tractors and some equipment there.

He has been in business for well over 50 years.

Had visit from sales man on new 2012 B2920.
2 weeks ago quoted 20k for new B3200 with 60 mmm and FEL.
17,500 on "new" B2920 with 60"mmm and FEL in question on this topic
to order in new 2012 B2920 with 60"mmm and FEL 20K
Wish the origional deal was 17,500 on B2920 with 0 hours not 25 hrs and dirty with few scratches ect... maybe too picky. What do I do? can't really afford the 20K?

First fill out your profile so we'll know where your from, at least the state. Then contact Used Kubota Tractors if your in the USA and find out the price for what you want delivered to your home.

If the tractor was ever sold or loaned out, it is no longer new, it is used. If it was demo'd on lot and accumulated some hours, it could still be considered new. I bought my L3130 used several years old with ~400 hours from the dealer, it still looked pretty much new and had regular maintenance done. The previous owner traded it in on bigger one.

If it has been sold previously and traded in or returned, see if you can talk to previous owner for additional history, reasons it is back at dealer..

I don't think they can legally sell it as new if it has been sold previously.

Unit is dealer, used around lot and for spraying by them, Has not been sold to individual so would be considered new or demo unit I assume it carries full warranty

Your not being picky at all. A guy didn't live up to his end of the bargain. There is ZERO reason you should have to pay ANOTHER $2,500 out of pocket for what you were promised. I'd call Kubota and tell them your story, I'd say I'm getting the tractor I was promised and getting it for the price promised or I'm taking my money to another brand. My $.02 :2cents:

BTW, When I bought my 3120 (JD) I got it because I'd gotten an excellent deal on it because it was a demo unit. Had 24 hours on the clock and although was in like new condition it carried everything that a new tractor would (full warranty, and finance offers) but I got it for under what the dealer paid for the tractor - because it is technically a USED tractor. I wanted a larger 33/3520 but they were now close to $8k more so it was a no brainer.

Don't know where you're located, but I paid $15400 (USD) for a 2920 with front loader back at the end of December. They did have $700-1050 rebates then, which have since expired. But regardless, your prices all sound too high assuming they are in US dollars.

Just fell off chair, Hadn't heard from dealer so stopped by and was going to do the deal for 17,500 on dealer B2920 with 25hrs with FEL and 60" deck, It had R4 tires and plan was to swap for turf tires and he just went ahead on ordering new 2012 B2920, loader and mmm with turfs for 17,500 plus get the rebates on top of that yet on cash deal. That made me quite happy today.
