Where is my glow plug light

Bought a 4530 and had it delivered recently... Dealer did not have manual for the tractor at the time of delivery, 2 weeks after purchase... I'm not sure which light is the "glow plug" light.... I just wait for all the instrument lights to turn off before starting it... Please help!!

On mine it is a little red light ---it is either just above or below the key----I can't remember but I know it is by the key.

My Mahindra 2615 has a yellow light. When its on it looks like a light bulb.

My light is red w/wire element symbol. Does your ignition switch turn counterclockwise with a spring return like when starting ? Try it and see if your light comes on then, that's the way mine works. This engages the glow timer and relay and the light will stay on however long your timer is designed for. It also comes on when I have the key in the actual starting mode (starter engaged and turning engine over) but goes out as soon as I release the switch when the engine starts.

No luck.... There is a light next to my key, but it takes over 30 seconds for it to turn off... I remember the dealer telling me it was a emmission light...??? Here is a picture of it.... I don't see any yellow lights or anything that looks like a light bulb symbol...

Unless things have changed drastically, you don't have a "glow plug", but rather a manifold air heater...your engine should be "direct inject". Just turn your key to the on position for about 5 seconds, then hit the start. My 6000 will fire up in any weather/temp within 2/3 revolutions...if the battery has enough juice to roll it over..(my original battery lasted 7 years-its a '02). Good luck with your tractor. Thanks for the picture, now I can help you . The indicator light right above the key switch is the intake heater idicator.

Yep that's it. Like every one said you do not have glow plugs, it is an intake heater. It is designed to go on when the key is turned. It's is also designed to go off after 30 seconds. Cold weather turn key wait 5 to 10 seconds then start. Coooooooooooooooooooooooolder weather (actually if it is this cold you might want to think about a block heater too) wait the full 30 seconds. Sometimes when it is reallly cold after it doesn't start on the first try turn the key off and then back on this will reset the timer.

I don't think you can download it. If so, it would put Mahindra on a par with John Deere's website. My dealer had a set of CD's he loaned me to download in PDF. It contained a parts manual, illustrations, and hourly estimates for repairs.

Go to the Mahindra USA web site, bottom of task bar you will find Owner Login tab, Click on it, enter your 4530 serial number in lower case. Just went there and you have a 96 page pdf owner manual file available to print. Lots of good info on the site.

The following is a cut & paste from the 4530 4wd manual:

Heater Indicator
When the Key is turned to the ON position, the heater
indicator indicates the activation of heater element provided
in engine intake manifold. The element continues to heat
the air in the intake manifold for 41 seconds. A timer
controls this time.
1. Turn the Key to the ON position and hold it till the heater
indicator is put-off.
2. Crank the engine when the heater indicator light is putoff
after 41 seconds.
