When I got my tractor I bought a Blitz fuel can with the trigger. It leaks and when I asked the man at TSC about these, he said all the new type leak. This must be a better idea. Cuts down on vapors but they leak.

I get "No-Spill" brand at my Stihl dealer. Never had a leak and I have dropped one and it shut off instantly.

I have 6 of the Blitz cans and most of them dump gas or fuel every time I use them. I am always adjusting the rubber seal to reseat it. What a flawed design. Thanks for the No-Spill brand suggestion. I see that in addition to Stihl dealers, ACE Hardware, Gemplers, Bailey's On Line carries them. There's an ACE almost withing walking distance of me, so I gotta go now ...

Had a couple "Blitz" EPA approved containers; junked them both as they leaked more fuel in the few times I tried them than all the fuel spilled in the previous 40 years(JUNK). I haunt yard sales looking for old style "vented" containers. Will never(I know;never say never) buy another EPA approved can

We bought Canadian spouts for our EPA cans. They fit perfectly and don't have a leaky valve.

I have likes and dislikes with these cans.
like: I can tip it over towards the tractor fill tube and nothing leaks down the side of the tractor or on the hood
dont like: very slow draining the can
like: dont leak when transporting in my work van
dont like: one of the slip on spouts fell off and i had to troll in tractors fuel tank to recover it.
overall - i want a 100 gal portible tank with electric spout...but until i find an unused $600 this isnt going to happen. till then the blitz cans will have to do

Blitz used to make good products... in my opinion.
The fuel containers made for the CA market for the last few years have been terrible... the local auto parts store refuses to stock them because of the complaints.
I have been extremely pleased with the no-spill variety mentioned here.
Just about every major small power equipment dealer sells them under the no spill or re-branded under their own name.
One of mine has a Honda part number.
They have been great, allow for precise metering and come with an adaptor for small size tank fills.

I have some with this spout:
They all leak/seep around the cap on the way home from the gas station, enough so I can't bring them home in the trunk of the car. I don't have a truck. I get diesel delivered, so it's only gasoline I use them for. Once I get them home and put the spout in the working position, I have to loosen the cap collars when they are stored, in case the sun ever hits them, as the pressure builds and pops the spout cap off and sends them flying long distances. My neighbor has never been able to remember to do this and has lost a bunch of those caps. She just goes and buys another jug, but I have to try to fix her small engines after she pours water into them.

I have 4 of the 5 gallon containers like that for Diesel... so far no problems.
I quickly bought them before California implemented the change and used them to fuel the tractors.

I have a bunch of Jegs Jugs, but found that their spout left much to be desired and just pouring out of the jug wasn't practical for me. My solution was to get a siphon barrel pump [ame=http://www.amazon.com/ER-Emergency-Ready-2EQK-Siphon/dp/B0007VYMUQ]Amazon.com: Siphon Pump: Everything Else[/ame] cut it down to the height of the Jugs ...then, I lift it onto the hood of my tractor and can siphon nearly the entire can right into the fuel tank with one or two pumps/pulls ...I made the cut on a slant so as to leave any water in the bottom of the jug. If your fuel tank is lower, you can simply pump instead of siphon ...and you can't beat the price.

My sentiments are the same as the above with the exception of fishing for the slip on extender spouts, I don't use one, as too many guys on here have complained of losing them in their fuel tanks. I just hook the little hook on the edge of the tank cap rim and let it drain (slowly
) into the tank.. Mine does not leak. and I have cussed the stupid "safety" switch thing you have to push before you can push on the spout to release the fuel, but I have gotten used to them, and am getting along OK with it.James K0UA

GRSTTHEGREAT complained of having to fish out the plastic spouts and I can go one better than that. I quickly found that plastic cans were a big PITA so I looked for and found a 105 gallon fuel tank with electric pump and shutoff nozzle. Last summer I was fueling one of my tractors and the aluminum nozzle on the hose handle valve fell off and into the tank. I couldn't see it as the tank was nearly full so I left it in till I got the fuel down to about 1/4 tank. I fished around for a while with wire coat hangers to no avail, then I found a couple of bamboo plant stakes and using them managed to roll it around to where I could push in one stick to stand it up, then pushed in the other and it was exactly fit to wedge into the nozzle. Then just lifted it out. I fixed that problem with it then by putting a self-tapping screw thru the valve socket and into the nozzle. I have never seen one of those end nozzles fall off like that before but they are just swaged into the socket of the handle valve. I felt lucky that it only took me about 5 minutes to fish it out and the tank wasnt that big so it was not too hard to see down inside it.
