Screw the pictures of the Ford, I want pictures of the H1!

Here ya go.

My 95 Hummer parked in front of the house.

My H1 on the left winching out a friend who got stuck in some sand.

A friends H1 on the obstacle course at the AMG Proving Grounds outside South Bend/Mishawaka, IN during the second Homcoming in 2002.

Another H1 running one of the obstacles on the course. I am rtight behind in my truck videoing as we both go through the course. You can see the brush guard on my truck in the bottom of the photo.

A bunch of us took a day trip to Silver Lake State Park in Michigan for some fun on the dunes. This is where I winched out the other H1 in the second photo.

I recently sold the H1 after owning it for 14 years. I had a blast with that truck and never got stuck. But it sure is an expensive beast to keep up.
I will miss it at times like when there is 40+ inches of snow on the ground and nothing is moving but me :D . But the new F-350 (when it gets here) will suit my needs today better than the Hummer did.

Beautiful Truck!
Some day I will have one, if there's any left in road-worthy condition...

F350-1.jpgUpstate N.Y. it's more common to see F350 SRW's then the DRW's. Actually the 350's are more common here then the 250'S, humm, maybe that's why I have a SRW F350.

Getting closer. I heard today that my new truck is in transit, so
maybe it will be here before Christmas. That would be a nice present.

It will look like this.

Hope you get it soon. I know how it is to wait. I order 9 out of 10 of my vehicles.

Yup, but the colors and the chrome package will be on mine, and it will look similar to that one. I couldn't find a good shot of a 2012 F-350 in tri-metalic white with the adobe accent on the lowers.

How about an F-450?

I still don't get why Ford uses those "stick-on" dually fenders that look like something ordered from a JC Whitney catalog...
It should be built right into the fender like the RAM or GM dually trucks.

RAM dually:

GM dually:

It definitely makes it easier on the manufacturer. Don't have to stock two different beds, they use the same bed on SRWs and DRWs, just add fenders.

Also, if I get a dually, I would kinda want it to have the slap ons. The commone mishap with duallies is busted fenders, mostly because of being wider than the average truck. While I wouldn't plan on doing it, if it does happen, it is way easier and cheaper to just change the fender.

And another reason for ME to like it, I want. side load toolboxes in my bed, and I would like to get the fenders Rhino lined, because people would be constantly leaning on it to get tools and the like, and in case a tool was dropped on it.

But, I do agree with you, the stamped ones certainly look better IMO. Just personal opinions and uses make the decision I guess.

True, they should use that in their ads.

CAN'T DRIVE A WIDE TRUCK? AFRAID SOMEONE MIGHT SCRATCH YOUR "WORK TRUCK"? GET A FORD AND GET TWO SETS OF REPLACEMENT FENDERS SO NO ONE AT THE GROCERY STORE CAN TELL YOU USED YOUR TRUCK FOR WORK! :D

I didn't like the new fenders at first but now I don't even notice them. I would think it's easier and cheaper to replace a fender instead of the entire side of the bed, so far I've been lucky and haven't scaped one off, yet. I can forgive Ford for the looks of the fenders considering how good this truck performs.

hahahha, I've been using that dealership since '76, this truck is vehicle #22. Pickups, Broncos, Expeditions. Very good dealer.

The 1 ton srw thing, many cities have bylaws prohibiting the parking of 1 tons in residential driveways, so everyone buys 250's in those areas. Re taxes and licences, the 250 falls on the cheaper side in some areas, the 350 on the cheaper side in others, so many small rules places to place.

Here the 250/350srw 's are about a 50/50 split.

For some reason.... we have had absolutely HORRIBLE service from that dealership?? When we got our new 6.7L Fords, some came off the transport trucks with CEL's and were immediately taken there... they refused to touch them!!!
