HardiePanel Siding

Good Evenin grsthegreat,
I took a look at your link, thanks ! I will get some prices when I get a chance, Im thinking I would rather use that than sheetrock. I would only be doing the shop section interior walls which would be about 18 x 27 and of course the ceiling...

Thanks again ! :)

No problem...im actually thinking of doing the same to my shop. I do like the fireproof aspect of it.

I got around to kinda cleaning up my shop today....its better but not perfect.

Good Evenin grsthegreat,
Got some prices today from Curtis Lumber in Granville Ny, which is just a bit SW of my location.

They quoted me 4x10 sheet $43.89 and 4x8 sheet $34.99  !

Anyway that computes roughly to about 36 4x10' sheets, about 1600 plus tax, that should do the walls and ceiling of the shop section of my barn...

I assume this stuff gets nailed ? Do you know what they do at the seams ? Just curious, since I have no experience using this product before !

Thanks for any additional info... :)

ive never used the panels, but i have used the ship lap siding alot. I silicon all the seams with that stuff. These panels don't shrink or expand with weather so no issues there. I am planning on doing the walls only.. not the lids. This stuff is VERY heavy, and I'm not sure how good it will stay on a lid, nor are my trusses framed to handle that much weight anyways.

I used a nail gun with ring shank nails and a depth limiting tool so as not to countersink the heads.

Good Evenin grsthegreat,
Thanks ! My neighbor has a sheetrock lift that I can borrow, it will do 10 ft ceilings, maybe I will do the ceiling in sheet rock and just do the walls in Hardipanel...

That will significantly drop the price down, and I never have to worry about moisture at the floor level ! ;)

I just hate compounding and taping ! :(
