What's the biggest size tractor you would use to mow with?

I have a Kioti ck20 that came with a 4' RFM. We have a Zero turn mower and a cub garder tractor also. My wife mows around our rentals with the kioti and them comes back and touches up with the cub. The tractor rides nicer than the smaller mowers and mows really fast in a straight line. I would rather have a 5' MMM for it but don't want to spend the money. We have turf tires on the Kioti and it does not tear up the yard at all. We do live in Fl. and have sandy soil so mowing after a rain is not an issue for us.

I would never argue against a Z-turn based on mowing quality. What I'd argue against a Z-turn about it versatility. Haven't saw one with a FEL yet....

I used to mow with a Kubota B2910 (same as B3030) 60" mmm deck and a John Deere 455 54" mmm deck. The Kubota deck rode on the ground. The Deere deck was suspended. The Kubota mow quality was far superior. Down side was the Kubota was a bit large to mow around obstacles or under low hanging tree limbs.

I now mow with a JD2210 62" mmm deck. I like the size of this tractor a lot better. I lost mowing quality over the Kubota B2910 but gained in getting in/around obstacles.

The versatility of a 4wd SCUT is unarguable.

I've attached a pic of the B2910 sitting beside the JD2210. Sorry I don't have a comparable pic of the JD2210. It's right between the two pictured.

I mow 3.5 acres of lawn with a JD 3120 with a Landpride 60" rear discharge finish mower. R4 tires loaded. The only noticeable problem is tracks if we mow the same pattern every week, but I've seen that happen with zero turns.

I've seen the same thing.

I bought the Massey SCUT because of the versatility. I use one machine for everything.........

Mowing, tilling, snow removal, FEL work.

Generally we mow real "lawns" with a pair of lawn tractors but occasionally with weather/time/workload things get away from me so i use a finnishing mower that i keep for driveway and roadsides on a forson major/ MF165 /JD2030 with turf tyres and occasionally on a MF390 fwa if it's dry enough !

Yes your eyes do not decieve you...the rear tyre on the other side is bigger . It popped a tyre in the heat of things one week so got a bigger spare wheel off a combine rear put on for a few days

Normally I mow with a lawn tractor, 48" cut, and do about 2 1/2 aces. But sometimes when we are out and about with the R.V. for a few weeks, I then mow with my Kubota 3540 with a Woods 72" RFM. But I do take the FEL off as it is quite heavy. It will still leave tracks, not ruts but tracks that do go away in a day or two.

The size of the mower you intend to use will dictate the size of the tractor. Consider the different HP requirements between a 5 ft RFM and a 15 ft batwing mower.

Of course my lawn only extends about 50 feet from all the sides of the house, and the walkways and driveway don't need to be mowed much.

ROPS wouldn't do any good, no seatbelts to keep you inside the cage.
On the other hand, never fallen off it.
Never gotten stuck with it.
Don't need to shout to talk to anyone.
Never out of fuel.
Cuts the grass instead of beating it.
I never mow without good sturdy shoes on my feet; steel-toe combat boots are my preferred footwear.
Oh yeah, and I can pick it up and carry it over my shoulder.

Try that with your B3200 with MMM.

On the other hand, hard to drink a beer and mow at the same time.
