James, a very good explanation and to add to that, there are times when those adjustments need to be made in just a few feet to get the contour that is needed. So yes the get off and on of the tractor after literally only seconds could need to be done. Most people do not do that and their grading outcome suffers for it. When you are able to make that adjustment through a hydraulic cylinder, you are much more likely to make the adjustment and end up with a much better job. ;)

Eddie,

YES!

I am done sniveling, waffleing, and checking my baffles (I served on nuke subs under Reagan, old bubblehead term).

I'M BUYING!!!

I'm going to go with the Kioti DK50SE HST w/FEL
I'm adding a canopy, 2nd rear remote, hooks on the bucket at a minimum.

I'm still undecided on the tires, but leaning towards AG so I can do better in snow (just in case) without buying chains for the R4's.

I'm strongly considering adding the following...
Cutting edge/teeth for the bucket
Bucket Grapples (I will run them from the rear remote).

The maybe list includes...
New Bush Hog (Woods?)

Howzat?

Thanks to all TBN who have educated me greatly in the last few weeks.

Do you mean "DK50SE"? Can't find a "CK50SE" with Google. Whatever.
Don't know anything about Kioti, but from what I hear, they're OK.

I'd see if I could get the dealer to cut me some slack on the price of a skid steer quick attach for your FEL--a very useful option that gets you into the world of skid steer compatible implements of which there are hundreds of types. It was a $1K option on my Mahindra 5525. Maybe you could get your dealer to toss the QA in at a big discount (30-50%).

One other thing--check availability of parts and service from another source other than the Kioti dealer with whom you're negotiating. Kioti is not a major brand (i.e. doesn't have impressive market share in the U.S.) so some dealers are just selling tractors and are not set up with a well-equipped shop and an extensive parts department.

I'm not picking on Kioti. My first tractor was a new 2005 Kubota B7510HST that I bought in May 2005 from the Redding CA dealer. By the end of the year my dealer was out of business (squabble among the kids who inherited the business) after 35+ years selling Botas. Fortunately, Kubota has a huge share of the SCUT and CUT market and I could get parts and service locally from other dealers. Eventually the JD guy in Redding added Kubota to his product line.

Just a heads up so you don't get in a bind on parts and service down the road.

Good luck with your new tractor.

Flusher,

I fixed the DK50SE typo. Thanks for pointing it out.

I'm not sure I would use enough different attachments to need a SSQA... What are you thinking I might want to use?

I have 2 Kioti dealers within 40 miles, and a large Bobcat dealer (but he will be mad that I did not buy from him). I think I'm OK:thumbsup:.

Thanks, I'l take the good luck!:D

Easy for us to spend your money :D

Maybe you should have said that in the first reply...

NOW I see how this works!

David

PS - Where is Everything Attachments located? I need to determine if I am inside the 1,000 mile delivery range...

It sounds like a really nice tractor. We usually get three bucket hooks, but two should do it. I still haven't put any on one of my tractors though.
