I bought them on EBAY... $3.95 USD including postage....for two... USA based guy...you can buy larger amounts....

They have the current limiting resistor for 12V and are about 8" long. They are really too bright, I put another resistor in series with it to drop the brightness down some. LED's have really come up in power since I used to be in electronics....

I have this super bright RED LED staring me in the face anytime I have my parking brake on.....now maybe I will possibly remember to not try to drive around with my parking brake on.... possibly...... It is REALLY bright, the picture does not do it justice.... [ professional driver, closed course.... kids, don't try this at home... any and all modifications may void your warrantee, etc.... ]

On my 5035....there are four phillips screws that you remove....then you can lift the guage panel out. There are two connectors on the right. The wiring is long enough that you can 'hang' the panel over by the keyswitch to work in the 'dash hole'.... Heh Brandi... I did use a RED LED......

What a great idea!:thumbsup: My most common blunder(among many) is not realising I've left the parking brake engaged. It wasn't so bad on my geared L275 where it was easier to notice. It's much less noticeable on the Kioti DK35 HST.

Thanks for the idea. I did some EBay research (your supplier does not ship to Canada) and found other colours including PINK:

....but I chickened out and stuck with RED.

I ordered a solid red with a plastic holder and flashing red with a chrome holder. I'll decide which I like better.

I just limped (off work with a knee OJI) out to the Big RED Beast and basically my instrument panel is the same size and shape as yours. I will install a blinking red light for the park brake and also a green light when in 4WD. I think my 4WD light burned out as I am always in 4WD. It was always too dim in bright daylight anyway. So I will add these lights and troubleshoot the inop light when I get back on my feet.

Me thinks that that is the main assembly complex in India.....but just a wild guess.....the sticker was on it when they delivered it. They have plants in several different towns. I might have to put a LED in for 4X4.....but might go yellow or orange..... GOOD idea.....

I was just going to go with the same color that the dash 4by4 light was.... I bet you just yanked your wires off your 4by4 switch on your transmission case. I just wrote me a note, and I am going to look for my switch tomorrow. I have to get under there anywhilst and finish checking the torque on the loader and backhoe subframes.... So far the only ones I have had to tighten a little are the ones going into the side of the block. Mahindra coats everything with a redish [ won't say pink ] undercoat before they finish coat it with Satin Black. And if you see a tiny little red around your bolts going into the block...you know they have moved a little. I am going to recover everything with SATIN BLACK when I get them all checked.... that was SATIN BLACK by the way.......
