I must say this is one of the best things I ever bought for my kubota l4200!
I bought the weld on ones because I didn't want the extra 2 1/2" of lenth and everyone leaves them on anyway,so I cut my arms and welded them up I could not be any happier .This makes hooking up attatchments kind of fun instead of a chore.Any one trying to decide if they want them, buy them you won't regret it!!!!!!!:D:thumbsup:

Anyone using these on a Kubota B2710? Just wondering if I'll need to find a new top link. The longer ones are not that easy to find.

I am new to tractors so I apologize in advance if these questions are elementary.

I have a New Holland Workmaster 55. It has a Cat 2 but works with Cat 1. Two of my implements are Cat 2 and one is Cat 1. If I buy the Cat two Easy Change will it also work with the Cat 1 implement and will it work with my LP Brush cutter?

Yes. I have about the same deal with a CAT 2 on an old 265 MF. I ordered the CAT 2 version PECS. On the Cat 1 stuff I just put on a 1 to 2 bushing and put in the pin and leave it.

I got my PEC last week and installed it over the weekend on the CAT 1 3PT on my CCY SX3100. The installation process is a bit more lengthy than the videos let on ;) So far, I've only tried the PEC with two implements - a Woods PRD7200 finish mower and a TSC carry-all. Here are my experiences with those two items:

The finish mower has pins on rotating links, so unhitched and at rest the pins are below the lowest level to which the 3PT lift arms can be depressed. Thus, the advantages of the PEC are nullified since I have to get off the tractor and manually shift the mower into place with each link held up so the pins sit on top of the hooks. Then I have to go back around to operate the lift arms, hoping the pins are positioned well enough that they drop down into the hooks on the PEC. In fact, it's easier to hook up the finish mower to the un-PEC'ed lift arms. If I can figure out a way that the links could be held up by some kind of spring-loaded catch that's released when the PEC is backed into place, then the PEC will be worthwhile for use with my finish mower.

The 100-lb carry-all initially was unloaded, so it was hard to get the latches on the PEC to depress enough that the pins on the carry-all could drop down into the hooks, without the unhooked carry-all being lifted and shoved backward. This was on a concrete floor by the way, so perhaps setting the unladen carry-all on dirt or grass would help keep it fixed in place while backing up the tractor. With a load on the carry-all, the PEC worked fine, even on a concrete floor.

I'm guessing the PEC was designed solely for heavy implements with fixed links, so my experiences probably are atypical. I will, however, be using a rear blade and possibly a box blade in the future, so I'm sure the PEC will shine through at that time. But for now, with the finish mower being used the most, I'll probably leave the PEC off my tractor.

I understand the concern, I hate not being sure about a site. I've talked to the people at Pat's and they are real nice. I like to call companies I order from even when I order online for the first time just to make sure they "sound legit".

Now off to work. Today is Cultivate, mow and bush-hog day!:D

Does anybody use the PEC system with stabilzer bars. I have them on my Ford 640 to keep the implement (particularly the bush hog) from swaying from side to side.

I see on the PEC website that they have a new style one piece latch. Does anyone know if the ones being sold by TBN are the new style or older style? Any thoughts on if really makes that big a difference which ones I get?

Thanks.
Paul

Was the install of the weld on units fairly straight forward? I'd rather not have the added length also since I've cut my PTO shafts to length. Did the weld ons add any length?

Thanks
Jeff

I am interested in the Cat II. How much further back does it put the center of the pin from the original center point?

I am interested in the Cat II. How much further back does it put the center of the pin from the original center point?

Good question so since the bush hog was parked near the house I just put a tape on it and it puts the center of the pin back 4".

With our 7' bushhog we had 5.5 inch between the deck and tire and now we have 9.5" which makes getting in there to connect the PTO much easier.

We just used our hitch to drop the 8' box blade and hitch to the bush hog and it makes it 10x safer and easier too.

Actually I was concerned that PECS might not stand up to the weight of the very heavy duty bushhog flopping from side to side when turning on steep slopes. After the first use it had worked in and was some what loose but I went and got bolts and jam nuts for every tapped hole on the hitches and now after a lot of box blade and bush hogging it is still all tight.

Now I did work at getting the right thickness of included shims in place to make it all pull down square against the OEM arms.

The pins will carry the load so the bolts in the tapped holes are just to take out the slop and NOT to carry the pushing or pulling forces on the hitch.

I had a new Zetor about 20 years ago with the longer arms so I was excited to get the extra 4" of space.

Due to my physical limitations I would not take $1000 for our Pat's Easy Change system if I could not order a new set of equal function and quality. Having tool and die experience I was VERY impressed with the steel and machining quality of the hitch.

Just added Pat's Easy Change system to our Kubota MX4700HST. I'm mechanically avg, and it took longer than some others report to install the system. The shims were easy enough, but getting PECS square using the stop screws proved challenging. In fact, they still don't look quite right to me.

That said, I couldn't be happier with this addition! I hooked up the Landpride rotary cutter, including PTO, in about 2 minutes. Back up, lift, and voila! The lower arms are done. Even more a blessing is UNATTACHING an implement. That's always been my biggest headache; not with PECS.

Only implement that was a problem was the Eagle 7' landscape rake. The lift pins were too short; with bent washers installed there wasn't room for PECS. But local hardware store had longer pins. Problem solved for <$10

If you're considering buying Pat's system my advice (worth what you're paying for it) is don't hesitate. Buy, install, and enjoy changing 3pt implements!

Jmidjr I have some experience with such things and must be average at best because it took me several tries to get them look true to me. It was not hard but took several test runs to figure out the shimming to give me straight pulling when hitched.

If I every get another tractor is just standard arms I will order and install another set of Pat's Easy Change System even at twice the price. Very effective and made very high in quality.

I love the extra 4" space behind the tires to get in and hook up the PTO on the bushhog.

I have the older model and want to get just the stabilizer bar. Will it work and where is the best place to get it?

/ Pat's Easy Change System - Order Online! #397
Gale, isn't it amazing what a difference that 4" of extra space makes? Like losing 20 lbs and 10 years! LOL

I forgot to mention that my local kubota dealer had top link extensions made locally. The added length was necessary to have full range needed for box blade.

I just ordered Pat's system for my new Kubota L3800. Just one time switching from a mower to a box blade convinced me to make the change!!!

Looking forward to getting this installed. How easy will it be to attach my Rhino post hole digger?

Thanks!
