I have an older NI 403 Hay Rake. Works great, but have a slight problem. On the Kick stand (don't know what else to call it), we can't get the bottom to spin freely. It will take grease in the alemite, but still can't get the bottom round disk to spin. Is there two pieces of threaded rod on this contraption?

Don't have an owner's manual with the thing or a parts breakdown. Sure would like one.

Thanks,

Rich

Put a little heat on it. When you get it at the correct height for your tractor draw bar, it will never need adjustment again. Alternative is to put a set of dolly's under the front. Ken Sweet

Ken,

Thanks. Can you tell me, are there 2 pieces of all thread on that? Will the bottom plate spin freely? We can get the handle to turn and raise and lower, just can't get the bottom plate to turn freely.

Rich

P.S. I have been in your store. I live in Glasgow and get to Munfordville every so often.

Working from memory, I think the round base was suppose to swivel in a slot at the end of the male threaded rod. To unhook, you would let the jack down and back the rake up until the jack was vertical and then lock it in position. Ken Sweet

Agco has a lot of parts diagrams online. You will be surprised what you can find on there. Its part of ther Agco Parts website.
