Kubotasaurus, a home built micro tractor

Firstly I would like to say Hi all, Im new here. Ive been watching in the background for a while now, but i have just joined so i can share with you my latest project. I am currently halfway through my build of a "micro" tractor, It is loosly based on the dimensions of a Kubota B5000, albeit scaled down to approx 2/3 the size!, I have also purchased the correct colour of orange and dark grey and some decals to complete its authentisity!
The main points are as follows; 5.5hp honda powering a matched hi-lo hydraulic pump, two gallon hydraulic resevoir, bank of four spool valves (one for forward and reverse, on a pedal, one for rear lift and the other two for extra services) A hi-torque hydraulic motor drives the rear axle via a heavy duty chain. The rear axle is a narrowed (26" wide) ford transit van axle. this is as far as i have got with the build so far! Ill post some pics later showing my progress thus far. Last night i test drove it back and fourth to see how fast and controllable it is, all is well.
Next on the agenda is to complete the steering (welding on the front axle pivot) and also add all the links from my steering box (off an old volvo) the seat is a brand new pressed steel item off of ebay, this too needs mounted along with a bonnet and the completion of the rear linkage. The main aim is to get it running and painted, then worry about the rear linkage, I also have a 27" wide mower deck to adapt for the rear, it will need its own engine.

Mowing the garden, ploughing the snow ai the winter and prehaps a loaader too!

Here is the pic that i base my scaled down dimensions on, the aim is to produce a robust micro tractor, that is reasonably light and small (as i have no need for anything big and heavy, after all its main purpose will be grass cutting!) The two extra hydraulic services will be very usefull for either a front loader (handy with the hydraulic drive, easy to shuttle forward and backward) or for the likes of a three point mounted log splitter, tipping trailer etc.

Got the steering fitted up tonight, going to have to make a few changes, The frame on which the steering box is mounted will nedd triangulated (i had assumed this anyway) also the main frame will need relieved around the steering arm, on top of the chasis. Then i should be happy with the steering.

bonnet is made, and more has been painted, not much to show just now, but ive just got to make the seat mount and she will be ready for a trial "proper" drive! then the fun bit of lift linkages and loaders can begin!

It is about 26" wide, not looking to lift much, more to use as asnow plough/bucket for moving gravel and sand maybe 50 kg payload in the bucket. The main use will be grass cutting, but it will be usefull for the veg plot and garden maintainance im sure!
Towed a 1.5 ton car out of my garage today and nothing broke :thumbsup:
wheelspin was the only problem, and that is with my fat arse on the back!

Are you serious dude, that thing is awesome. I just noticed the rear differential. That's a pretty big pumpkin. What did it come off of, and how did you mod it to work?
