Went to my buddy's house and he has a L$$)) with the same FEL and I took some pics of his to compare the dump angle and the rollback angle of the two. What doe the experts of TB think? Mine are the one listed as Randall. It appears that something is not right. I suspect that the SSQA is mislabeled or something. I am still waiting to hear back from the Kubota Rep.

I dont see any labeling to tell which is which, But I'd assume that yours is the 2nd and 3rd pics and your buddys is the 1st and 4th???

If so, something is definatally not right with yours? I am not sure we covered this (an I am too lazy to go back and look:laughing:) but...

how old is your machine?
Warrenty????
Did the dealer install the SS QA????

And in the last pic of your buddys being all the way dumped, it doesnt even look right. Is it ALL the way dumped??? Because I feel it should be hitting the mechanical stop, but instead, it looks like the cylinder is maxing out well before that, even though it isnt touching the arm:confused2: If that is the case, he could wind up in the same boat as you, but instead of a bent rod, he could tear the front right off the cylinder by over-extending it if he isnt carefull. It should definatally be hitting that mechanical stop. And it appears that the SS QA moves everything more forward.

Also, have you taken any detailed measurments of pin spacing and distances to see if yours may be different than his??

Either way, IMO, they BOTH need addressing.

The mechanical stop you are looking at is for the pin on bucket you cant see the stop but they are both at the stop limit on the dump and rollback. Mine are the first and third pics both on the left. mine will not roll back all the way the cylinder bottoms out on the rollback and hits the boom on the dump.

A long as they bot have a stop limit.

But I still think there is something wrong with his. The cylinder shouldnt be touch like that when retracted. And yours shouldnt be touching when dumped.:confused2: I would take some very detailed measurments of both to see if there are any tiny differences.

Well I spent some time looking closely at the cylinders and the movement and such. I found a different issue that may very well be instrumental to the cylinder failure. The rod of the cylinders hit the bottom most part of the boom in full dump mode. It appears that the SS Quick Detach has the movement stop made onto it. The cylinder rod hits the boom before it hits the limit stops. Here are a few pics of what I am talking about. I also have a call in to the Kubota dealer to get his opinion and see if this is supposed to be. It doesn't look right to me. I checked everything and nothing is bent and all pins are tight. If you look closely you can see where the rod has been hitting the boom. All thoughts and comments appreciated.

I found the other thread with the rod touching the loader arm.. I think that part starts around post # 12.

3rrl did a very good thread on rebuilding the stops on the Jinma because of this very reason. Let me see if I can find his thread.

Here it is. Take some time while you're waiting to hear from the dealer and enjoy some great reading!

I checked the rod to loader arm clearance on my L3400 earlier in the week, it definitely has clearance. Not a lot, I'd say it's between your buddy's and yours. I'll take some pics the next time I have the tractor running.

I snapped a couple pics of the loader on my L4400 so you have another one to compare to. Theres not alot of room between the cylinder and loader but more than you have. Mine seems comparable to your buddy's. One pic fully curled, one fully dumped:

Sean I appreciate the input and the pictures will help in what it is supposed to look like.

Thanks for the pictures and that is what mine is supposed to look like. Your rollback angle is what mine is but the dump function is correct on yours and mine goes a little further which is a little to much. Guys this helps a lot.

Just add some more material to the mechanical stops.
