No, that's why I'm here! I have parts diagrams of MX6 cutters with *3* different gear boxes and 3 different shafts. I spent a good part of an afternoon calling my tractor sources, and the shaft is obsolete...JD's only fix is to replace the box & pan...evidently JD had problems early on with these, and the supply of parts were exhausted and the design updated, so I'm basically SOL. Heck, if I could even find a used box that would bolt in I'd give it a shot.Can't you just replace the shaft by itself? I see that the same pinion is used with 2 different bevel gears (13 and 15 tooth) for MX6 and MX7 mowers. Add a slip clutch to prevent the overload next time
