Kubota BX24
:(My 2007 BX24 began haveing transmission problems at about 450 hrs. After working for an hour or so, it will not reverse under any load, including up-hill, over small rocks, with a load in the FEL etc. I took it to the Kubota dealer, but he could not duplicate the problem. (cost $70 for nothing:mad:) After 1 or 2 hrs work, the problem came back! Yesterday, got into a situation where the hoe could not pull me back and fwd was not an option (ditch!) With the help of a 3 ton 12v winch (Harbor Freight special) I got it out and back to it's parking spot! Actually, after letting it cool for a few hours, the reverse would have worked long enough to get out.

This makes the tractor unreliable for most work I do! Are there any suggestions on what the cause could be? Seems to me like a hyd fluid by-pass when under pressure and warm?!?

My BX1500 developed that problem as well and got worse to the point it would go neither way. How does the GO pedal feel when it happens ... normal, or does it just fall? Check this link for similarities. They said it was almost definitely the cradle bearing. ... About as expensive to fix as to replace.

When that happens, check the position of your 3 pt control lever, on my BX 23 if its down or Up, not returned to center, it robbs Hyd power. And does the same thing you are talking about.
