Long term drought for Texas- :-(

What a difference a few miles can make. Just 35 miles into Oklahoma straight up hwy 69/75 here's the deal.

A few weeks ago we were burning up, watering the garden and watching the grass turn brown.

Sold a group of cow calf pairs ... wife warned me if I sold it would rain.

Real lucky here, got some nice hits ... in a couple different systems a little over an inch and then a little over a 1/2 ... in between we put out fertilize and as of last night I poured out 4" from the weekend system.

Got a couple wash outs in the garden and the 3 ponds are full and overflowing I feel real bad for those of you who are dry ... it can really work on you.

Yep! SE OK and NE TX have had some nice rains. My brother lives in Whitesboro, TX, just east of I-35, and I live 40 miles west of I-35. He has had at least 3" more rain than I and his pond is full while mine are 3-1/2" down. 75 miles can make a huge difference. This morning, It was 36 degrees here and I realize how close we came to a May frost. What about you, Blueriver? Did your garden get a little frost burn last night?

Just about the same here. I'd settle for airplanes dumping the waste water tanks when they fly over.

 Sounds like a good country song to me. It could be called "I'm so blue since it rained."

I don't even rember what rain is. We haven't had any in months. I can't even grow weeds. Last week they said the humidity was 6%.

The really bad storms went north & south of us, so we dodged that bullet. We got .75 inches of rain that we are proud of but really need some more. The forcast looks like dry & hot this next week.

No frost ... there again the difference in the area, my low was 38 degrees ... I got lucky with that corn I went ahead early and avoided any frost. Corn is real doing real well ... I'll get a picture today of the garden.
