Not a fan of the Honda gold!
That black would look good. Especially if all the chrome and such gets polished up.
By the way, was the person you got it from a big New Holland fan? LOL.

In 1975 and 76 I owned a Honda 400 and did a little road racing (cafe) over the summers of those years. BIG FUN but saw many seperated shoulders from crashes; fortunitly no injuries for me. Oddly enough though in the late 90's and early 00's I got into bicycle racing and suffered numerous injuries from that sport. Have had many surgeries on my shoulders to show for it.

Here is a photo of the gold color from 70.
Also attached is a similar photo of my first bike, the engine was black along with the pipes to hide the modifications I had done. The rest including the color were the same. Did like that green with the yellow flake in it... May have put the wrong year in a earlier post?

Nice looking! I think I like the bare bones look of these bikes the most. Yesterday I stopped at Manassas Honda/Kawasaki and all the new stuff is just full of plastic and fancy body parts - I don't buy it, really. I will take naked bike anytime - even the great KLR650 is all decked up.

My 1st bike was a CB350 it was a 4 cylinder snoty little machine, wish I still had it, not many around.

I have an 82 cb750sc Nighthawk in blue/black. I dragged it out of storage last week so I can clean the carbs and get it back on the road. I need something cheaper on gas than my SUV. I'm not much for the round directionals on mine but otherwise like the looks of it.

It'a a '79. I get a lot of compliments/interest in it. Alot of people can't believe it's a Goldwing. I love it.
It handles quite well. I rebuilt the forks, seals Progressive springs & a brace. It's got new no-name ebay rear shocks & Bridgestone Spitfire tires. I've got a different front master cyl. & braided lines front & rear. She's a nasty girl.

+1 Great bike! My cousin had one as I had his previous CB750 custom (1981). The 750 was a big step up from the 1975 CB175 my dad let me ride to begin with. Nothing sounds as good as a CBX with the 6 into 2 header with the baffles out. Nothing quite as loud either - it would drown a equal 4-cyl. out completely.

Just about NOBODY in those days would have put ANY money in a Juke Box (which were VERY RARE in English and European cafes in that period) and gone for a ride to NOT listen to the tune.
It was about RIDING not cafes (-:
The HOT set up was in fact a 500 cc Manx Norton a year maybe two years old.
No longer "competitive" on the track, but fast for its day and very light.
Barely legal with little more than bicycle lights on it.
( only one very light track crash )
The twins, 600 Nortons and 650 Triumphs, BSAs, etc were later, heavier and slower,
though could take a "bird" on the back (-:
The Kingston by-pass (south of London) was the place to run.

For as much as I like my Harleys, one of the other bikes I think sounded really cool, was the early 80's large CC Suzuki GS's. Knew a guy years ago that hopped up a '82 or so GS1000 or GS1100; motor work, suspension ect. That bike sounded soooooo good with an open Kerker header! Run that thing above 5000rpm, and is sounded awesome.

Like the chrome . Nice looking bike even though I was never into the hogs, still like the way they look. Sturgis ever? Taken my truck when passing through but never rode my bike when I had it there. Fun, but a mad house. I hear it's tamed up a lot though in the last 10 years or so. The "trailer, then ride in" crowd I guess.

I rode to Sturgis twice. About 2300 miles one way. I have a Yamaha Royal Star Venture for that kind of duty. We stayed with local folks so most of the madness took place somewhere else. Beautiful country.
