Ford 1900
Hey all. Long time observer, first time poster.
Anyways, I've purchased a little Ford 1900 in the past year. It's a 4wd. I dont know the history of it but, it seems to run fine and is in fairly descent shape. I dont have an owner's manual. Ive changed the oil already. Went with Schaeffer's 7000 10w-30, and a Wix oil filter. Im planning on changing the rest of the fluids, and want to know what kinds I need. Planning on changing out everything. Front diffy, power-steering, and transmission? Is the hydraulics part of the rear drive? Im fairly new to this, but want to do it right and would like some "expert" opinions. Thanks guys!

You need to buy an operators manual or a repair manual. It will tell you the right fluids and the proper capacities. And a lot of other useful info. There are several IT manuals on ebay now. Here are a couple of pages to help you out.

Here is the pic for the final reduction

Thanks for the info. I stopped by the New Holland dealer the other too, and asked the same question. He got his big book out, and it showed to use a a "134D" fluid for the front differential and each of the final reduction gear boxes. So, I bought a gallon of the Multi-G 134. About $18. His book also showed that each final reduction only took .23 quart. I wonder why there is such a difference between that and the operators manual that says to fill it up to the bottom of the fill hole with 80 or 90 weight oil?

yikes...

generic utf meeting M2c134 spec would have been fine.

5g jug for 25$ at many places!!!!

in fact.. I posted to your other thread about this!!!

ask more questions before spending more money...

So, which one is the misprint?

I think it's .23 gallons. 134 was the oil Ford recommended.

Neither is right.
Fill till it comes out the hole.
