Call me sick, but I LOVE manual. I know there is a huge debate, but that's what makes our country great...personal preference!

Nothing wrong with gear. If you have never had a FEL you now own the biggest work saving attachment of all!

Actually the dealer said is was the first gear 2320 he ever sold LOL. I welded a low lift bucket for my Garden Tractor, which was a HUGE help, but now I realize was a toy compared to a real FEL.

I used to have an old Ford 3000 that was manual. I did like it, but it was too heavy for my little 18ft trailer. So I bought this MF. It's not as strong, but I do like where I can get now:thumbsup:.

I'm right at the weight limit for my trailer. When I get my BH I will need as bigger trailer - next year I think.

Congrats on the new tool. Have fun playing with it. I have really enjoyed my tractor over the past 3 years. Backhoe is a great addition.

Thanks :)
I played with it today, I drilled a few holes (the auger works like a champ!) and move a few soil piles for my Dad. The tractor is a lot of fun, has plenty of power, and the diesel sounds wicked cool.
I'm about 80% done welding a set of bucket forks. Wish it had the quick-tach system - might be a future upgrade with aux. hydraulics for a bucket grapple.
(ugh - I just got it and I'm already upgrading!!!)
:D

Kubota diesel engines are sweet to listen to. They sound a lot bigger than they are.

I've been dreaming orange ;-)

That diesel sounds burly, but when I pop the hood it is quite the miniature!

Seems to have plenty of power so long as I can keep the tires from spinning.

They do suprisingly well on firm dry ground with a loader and 4WD kicked in. Better yet with some ballast on the back. I don't have a tooth bar but I think a tooth bar would make a huge difference.

Hi,
No - not yet. My trailer (as crazy as this sounds) is at max load with the tractor and loader. I looked at a 6000GWR today since I will need it when I add balast (either in tires, with a box blade, or the backhoe I hope to buy for it in the fall).
I've seen a lot of folks indicate the need for balast to get purchase due to light weight of the tractor...so it's on my list.

OK - I LOVE my Kubota!!!!!!
I trailered it 5-hours up to our property in the mountians in the hopes of getting started on the cabin foundation. It trailered like a CHAMP. Light enough that I did not feel it as I pulled it up the steep grades (of course my truck helped a little!).

Got to the property and there was 18" of snow still
Spent three hours running the loader clearing a path back into the woods where we cleared for the cabin last fall. I did notice that I REALLY need a weight box or some rear loading...but otherwise the B2320 was a real champ. After reading all the posts on the HST vs gear I was second guessing my decision a bit before I really started using the B2320 (I admit it) - but seriously, when I was running the loader for an extended period clearing all that snow the gear shift/machine was NO trouble. I've always driven stick in my cars and this was no different. Made many 6+ snow piles!!!

Finally made it back to the cabin spot and started drilling with a Model 65 3pt post hole digger. Soil has a LOT of shale in it, and the auger spun on the frozen/rocky ground. I thought...ugh oh. I didn't know that it would matter much, but I added the 100lb weight kit I made for it - to my suprise that improved things and in short order I was churning through rock and frozen soil to 36". I did blow a shear pin - but had spares so no worries

Drove home early Sat - and finished welding my clamp-on bucket forks. Before I painted them I took them outside and llifted a partially full (rainwater)290 heating oil tank that I'm turning into a grill. It was HEAVY but the B2320lifted it. Kept it low since no rear weights still (NEXT PROJECT!) and the rear wheels were getting light. When I put the soon-to-be BBQ grill back in place I relaized the 100lb weight kit from the PHD was still in the bucket!!!! WOW - WHAT A GREAT MACHINE!

Loving my Kubota!:D
