Kubota B3300 vs John Deere 3320(non turbo). Kubota has 33HP, 9.9 pump flow, Lift cap. @ 24" is 1400 Lbs. The John Deere has 32.5HP, 13.9 pump flow, Lift cap. @ 24" is 2200 Lbs. The only shame I see is the Kubota Stats...

You have no idea what you are talking about whistlepig! The kubota 9.9 is the TOTAL FLOW. While the John Deere Total flow is 13.9, (5.3 steering, 8.6 implements). So yes it is shameful

Why are you comparing the B3300 to the 3320? Comparing the 3320 the L3240 would be more direct, no?

Pretty sure if the Kubota starts that song, the Yanmar Deere you got will know the lyrics and join right in on the chorus in flawless Japanese. :laughing::laughing:

So so many assumptions here as to what the man wants and needs when nothing is stated!!!

Simply put a dealer is important, I can't remember a brand that somebody couldn't find a reason to like, that includes color, price or this or that.

Kubota did start this industry in the country and is respected here as well as the rest of the world as a leader.
John Deere got started with purchasing Yanmar tractors and Yanmars are highly repected world wide for quality although deere doen't use them much anymore.

These two companies have the best parts and service organizations in the country for this size equipment and both should be around in twenty years from today.

Both arew good companies and tractors. I have owned them both. I prefer JD because I like the feel and funtions better and my dealer support is much better for JD locally for me.

Last spring I posed the same question and with the help of this forum, and the Kubota Forum, I decided to go green for two reasons. According to my selling dealer, the hydraulics on the 2305 were superior to the BX23 which I was considering, and I liked the ergonomics of the 2305 better. The forward reverse pedals being next to each other are a big help when using the three point hitch to rock out large fence posts.

I purchased the 2305 for a small and very hilly horse farm in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The 60" belly mower cut my mowing time from two days on a riding mower to about three hours on the 2305. It is almost a zero turn tractor!

I bought the quick disconnect FEL with the Ballast box, the 60" belly mower and have since added a rear blade. The belly mower detaches and installs in less than 10 minutes, the FEL in even less time.

Good luck on your choice..... I think it may be a matter or personal preference.

During the summer, I logged about 75 hours of seat time, and during this winter, my adult kids have been using the front end loader for snow removal and the four wheel drive feature to tow their cars up a steep and curving driveway.

If someone is sold on JD for whatever reason, the best thing to do would be to find out which manufacturer supplies that model or assembly parts to John Deere and buy it directly from the manufacturer. I think Yanmar (a respected brand) is one of JD's suppliers for example. You should save quite a bit of cash.

Unfortunately, your logic is flawed. Yanmar is indeed a supplier for many of the smaller JD tractors and make very high quality products. However, when they build for JD, they build to JD specs for a particular JD contract. Sorry, it just doesn't work that way.

Huh, I don't know how you read that but the 724 loader out lifts, does it quicker and the BH92 out performs the deere so much you wouldn't think it's in the same class. deere may have more flow? I didn't go past the loader and hoe, what a waste of flow!

We looked extensively at both JD and Kubota before deciding on the Kubota. Dealer support was about the same in our area.

Both machines for our usage were comparable performance wise, weight is a non-issue as we ballast as necessary.(5325/5425 vs. M6040/M7040)

Turbo vs. NA hasn't been any problem. The NA kubota has sufficient power for our use and good torque rise in tillage operation.

It really came down to price and finance options for us. Kubota had the better deal.
Would have been equally happy with either.

A size range would be helpful. Dealer most important, specs next. I went Kubota, a friend went JD. Both of us had good luck. I hate running his Deere's hydro. He hated my Kubota until he used it for a weekend, then told me he found it better than his Deere.

I prefer the skidsteer q/a on Kubota's, a lot easier to get cheap attachments. I have an L5030HSTC so its actually heavier than most CUT's, I know the opposite is true for most Kubotas. I'm a bit neutral on the weight thing, it really depends what you're doing to tell if you need weight.

The Deere's do have nice ergonomic controls, colour coded etc, pretty easy to teach others to operate. A bit tougher for my wife but she gets it and rakes hay for me on occassion in the bota. She won't drive the big Massey though lol.

I was hit with the same dilemma when looking for a compact tractor a few years back. Many tractor owners mentioned the importance of feeling comfortable with the dealer you'd be purchasing the tractor from. There isn't a huge difference one way or another between comparable models of Kubota & John Deere. Go with the seemingly more reliable and responsive dealer, because in the end that will probably be far more important to you.

John Deere vs Kubota....Tell you my experiance. Bout 10 years ago had brothers JD 850 for a few years and was just fine but then on day he wanted it back...guess that just natural. after went and rented a Kubota for six mounts to finish what was in project mode. lots of money in rental could be put on new machine so got to buy one. Turn out I like better John Deere but then I was use to the green tractors so purchased 4400 JD and was never sorry....got over 4000 hrs seat time and satisfied for the work I put it through, one day i will come with more elaberated sugestion on what i forgot to get when I both. Id say rent one for a month and see if it will do the job you want. For me my brothers 850 did not have enough puntch for what i was doing so it help me buy the right size tractor.
Dealers in farm country more big tractors and the ones around cities go with the smaller ones cuzz of the demand around this parts anyway. Rent one or two and try them, your the one that going to live with your dicision and to trade in for another well dont think its good for the wallet. good luck in you shopping.....Salut
