I want a Kubota tractor,30hp or more, but not much more than 35hp. I want a snowblower on the front so I would like a mid PTO. I am having trouble determining which units have the mid PTO or are capable of having it. Can anyone help please? :newhere:

I believe if you go to Kubota.com, and look under attachments for the L series and Grand L series, you will find what you are looking for.

You might also consider the B3030, as it too offers a mid PTO, AFAIK.

Kubota Tractor Corporation ==> Check each model's specification sheet. It's all there for each and every model.

You may want to find out the cost of a complete front mounted snowblower before sticker shock hits. The snowblower itself is resonably priced, but add in the quick hitch, drive system, chute kit, etc and it gets out of sight in a hurry. $7,000 is not out of the question. Front mounted snowblowers are expensive regardless if they are from Kubota or the aftermarket... At least that is what I've experienced.

You'll want to look at the B2920 , B3030 , B3200 , Grand L 3240, and Grand L 3540 for Kubotas in the 29 - 35hp range with mid PTOs.

And I might add to Ductapes comments, there's a world of difference between a B3030 and a GL3240, even though there's only 2 hp difference. You really need to spend time on a dealer's lot looking at models. Depending on what you are gonna do with each, the B and the L, have a lot of difference in their capabilities to offer.

Is this only for current models? I'm trying to find specs for discontinued older models? Any good place for that? Specifically the L4610.

Rustaferr, are you looking for a brand new tractor or a used one?

I'm guessing your looking for a new tractor. I think the only L model tractors with a mid PTO are the Grand L's. If you don't mind spending the money they are great tractors. Last I knew all the B series also offered a mid PTO but I'm not sure now.

They do make front snow blowers that attach to the rear PTO. I'm kind of surprised LEONZ didn't point this out, he's more knowledgeable than I about them. I went with the Kubota front blower only because I wanted to keep my rear PTO free for a rear mounted sander. I really don't enjoy trying to add or remove attachments in below zero weather.

I want to thank all of you who responded, it helps! Piston, I believe I would like to find a good used 3240, if possible.

You might find, as I did, that it's hard to find a used L series with a front mounted snowblower. Especially within your area. Adding one usually blows the whole deal. If you're thinking used you might want to consider a rear mount unit for cost reasons. When I bought my L3430 in '06 there was one used one for sale in my area but he wanted close to what a new one cost so I took advantage of 0% and went with new.
Try looking on Tractorhouse.com.
Good luck and be ready, it's snowing right now!

Welcome, The B3200 TLB that I have has the mid pto and thats one of the reasons I like this size tractor. 32 hp and a good loader capacity, But as another pointed out the front mounted snow blowers are Very $$$$$.
I did have one on my BX23 and it worked GREAT! I bought it as part of a pagk deal. The B3200 that I now use for snow has a 60" bucket and a 72" back blade, does a great job but does leave banks. Of course they can be moved with the FEL if you want to take the time.

i have a 6' front mounted and used a 6' rear mounted blower before this. They both work great. THe rear blower you can leave the front loader on which is nice. Besides that, the front is much better. I paid 5400 for the front blower package and I just bought another tractor with a cab and kept the blower for it. We blow alot of snow up here and looking backwards gets old on my neck. THe mid pto option is only 450 bucks or so and easy to install. I think this setup is much better than those box store blowers as well. These are well build units that I would think would last a lot longer. My old 3130 pushed the blower just fine. If the snow was over 12", it would work the tractor but it would keep going. This 5740 LOVES the snow. I love the cab. If you can swing it, get a cab. I hated coming in with snow all over my face and my carharts were covered. I looked like a moving snowman.
