10X16.5 tires

I am looking to get different tires for the front of my L3600. Currently it has R4's that are down to about 40% thread after 1000hrs, but I was thinking about getting something different for replacements. I am looking for a tire that isn't as aggressive as a R4 so it won't dig up the lawn as much when turning sharp while mowing, but yet has more traction that a turf tire for when I am digging with the loader.

I found a couple different styles that were possibilitys, they were called X88 and X89. ( I found them through google) Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try turf tires and add tire chains when needed for loader work.

Turf tires are out, I do too much loader work to have turf tires on. Although turfs would be nice for when mowing.

I did check out Titans website just now, the Titan H/E is a very good possibility. Thanks for telling me about them!

Look around for the correct diameter tire for your tractor, It took me a few months of diligently looking to find the wider tires I wanted for the front of my B7800, had to buy 12" rims but am a very happy camper now. But remember, the wider the tire the more damage you will incur when turning, but you will have enhanced loader function.

Don't understand why you would need chains for loader work. It is the width for flotation that is more important IMHO.

I now think I have found the tires I am going to get, they are the Lifemaster SKZ.

They should be aggressive enough for loader work, but yet smaller voids that should work good for mowing operations. What do you guys think?

it's a good looking tire. It appears to be designed for a skid-steer. Check with your tire dealer to make sure they recommend it for use on a steering wheel. The flat square profile tends to make tire harder to turn and dig in at low speed, an issue for loader work.

Yep it is a skidsteer tire. The front of my L3600 requires a 10X16.5 tire and the only 10X16.5 tires that I have been able to find have been skid steer tires. I checked with my cousin, who owned a tire shop for 30+ yrs until he retired, and he said that the only 10X16.5 tires that he knows of are all skid steer tires. I showed him the Lifemaster SKZ and he said that he had never sold any of that style but had seen them and thought that it would work great for what I am looking to do.

Will do, they won't be ordered until spring. I talked with the dealer today about them and got a price of $440 shipped. Once they are installed I will post some pics and a brief review of them.
