Who is watching the solstice?

I am setting the alarm and taking the kids out to see it.

I could be wrong, but I believe a solstice is a point in time having to do with the tilt of the earths axis. The tilt determines the length of our days and nights-nothing to really see. Did you perhaps mean the lunar eclipse which is taking place tonight around midnight Pacific time. It happens to coincide with the winter solstice. Regards, Mike

I believe the optimum viewing time where I live will be shortly after 8:00 a.m........on ABC's Good Morning America.:)

Had to wait a few minutes for a break in the clouds, but I got mooned. I returned the favor right back at mother nature. We were both blushing .

Snowing here so can't see the eclipse.

Went outside at 3 am, heavily overcast, could not see a darn thing. CURSE WORDS. At 6pm Sunday evening the moon was full, huge, and beautiful as it rose in the sky. What are the odds I will be around the next time such an eclipse happens?

2092 is the next one on the solstice. The last one was in the 1600s!
