Can anyone recommend a spray to kill this kind of weed?

Is that the seed head from crabgrass? If so, nothing will help that won't kill your other grass. A better picture showing the leaves may help ID in case I'm wrong.

Here's a pic from out in the yard. Probably is the seed head. That stinks.

I agree with MMAgis crabgrass.

A pre-emergence in early spring for crabgrass is the way to kill the seeds that come from that head you show pics of in OP. There has been so much of it this year, that I have vowed to take it on next year

Any of the Round Up products should kill it. I know the one for ivy and heavy over growth will, and it's also been the one that's lasted the longest for me.

I mean, mow it often ... let it be your lawn. Is it too much area for that?

We mow about 6 or 7 acres. Try to mow fairly often before the crab grass (or whatever it is) gets out of hand, but the crab grass gets to be about a foot tall and looks like s**t.

Looks like Bahia grass. Here are some pictures for comparison.

Both pictures are Bahia grass.

Roundup will kill it, and then reseed. after about 3 weeks.

I'm sure there may be other similar products on the market. But, if you want it gone permanently than Round Up will take care of it.

Not meaning to step on any toes or butt in.
To me and I'm no expert but the grass appears to be Dallis grass which can be killed and controlled
using an MSMA based herbicide, for example Weed Hoe 108. It won't kill Bermuda grass if used according to label.
It might make it look sick but
it comes out right quick in a couple of days.
This is what I use to kill crab grass and bahia grass in my yard (not lawn).
I live to far from town to have a lawn.

We have alot of Bahia. In the Pastures it reseeds and takes over everything even killing out the weeds, great in the hay meadows for a quality hay.

In the yard ... the wife hates it cause ya got to mow more often. My experience with round up ... grass and weeds will grow back after a period of time. I use it on the fence lines and spray them a couple times a year.
