Congratulations. Sounds like you and your dad made a great choice.

When it shows up make sure you remember to always use care when using the FEL. Keep the bucket low when you are moving. Having even an empty bucket up changes the center of gravity of the tractor. ROPS up and seatbelt on.

Have a great time with it.

Thanks, we think we made a good choice! I'll remember to use care with the FEL and be sure use the safety equipment.

Awesome! you all wil love the new machine. Now its time to learn the in/outs of the machine like the float position of FEL, the hidden power source for auxilary lights, etc.

Thanks, I'm sure I will. I've already been researching all the ins/outs of the BX25.

Come on guys, the OP doesn't need an L3700 to mow his yard. Let's try to help as much as justify our own choices, and I really mean that in a friendly way. At the very least he should rent anything bigger for a weekend before going that route. Actually if all of us had a BX, or equiv. on the side I think we would be surprised how much we ende up using it for. What say you TrippleR?

I'd love to mow the lawn with one, but you have to think of size/cost...;)

After bringing home our 72" RFM, we mowed the lawn around the house with it using our L3130. My wife got great pleasure out of the neighbors seeing us mowing with it.

I am pretty much in agreement with you on this one. We use the heck out of our BX and for several years, it was the only tractor we used on most of our property. We looked at the B Series a couple of times even and wound up getting another BX; still like the B though.

Guess I was a little late to the party on this one huh? Should have read a few more posts. :D :D :D

For mowing the lawn that is what we use the Troybuilt for (see signature). Plus, my nephew has a ZT Dixie Chopper. But for FEL/BH work, the BX would definitely NOT work for us.

If it works for you, that is great. The OP wanted to dig stumps and bamboo (if I remember correctly) and from what I have dug, the BX would NOT dig the pine stumps or the bamboo that grows in Florida.

I was trying to add perspective, not urging someone to buy something larger than they need. He asked for advise, we gave.

Please don't send us to the corner for our advise :ashamed:
