New to me 3320

Also the bar is stronger and has holes in it for teeth. You can put another edge on it too if I remember.

Maybe you can talk to your dealer about a trade up, might be cheaper than reinforcing it. The HD bucket is 73" long, the 3320 can take it with ease. I fill it to overflowing with rocks, etc.

Rob

Yes the HD bucket is pre-drilled to accept the bolt on reversible cutting edge (the bolt on edge is worth it in my opinion; about $130.00).

The HD bucket is available in both the 61" and 73" size (bolt on cutting edge is $154.00 for the 73" if I recall; yep, I put the bolt on edges on both) if nothing else it makes the bucket that much less prone to bending. As I stated above, I have both and the 3320 handles the 73" just fine.

Nitro,
How does that bolt on edge work if you want to put a tooth bar on? Does it fit over it or do you take it off?

Thanks,
Rob

I have been told you can have either the edge OR a toothbar on at one time.

I can put the tooth bar on with the cutting edge, but I had to modify the tooth bar; I had to make slotted cut outs (in the tooth bar) for where the bolts that hold the cutting edge on were prohibiting the tooth bar from being installed.

I dropped my bucket off at the welding shop today.....and picked up my new grapple. I'm going easy on my back.....so.....the welding shop is going to add 3" x 1/4" flat iron at the bucket sides and reinforce the top of the bucket with with a custom plate to form a channel on the underside. Then, I am adding a Markham tooth bar to the bottom edge and calling it good to go.

I'm adding weld on bucket hooks to either side at the "quick tach" bosses....and adding a 2" receiver in the center for moving trailers, etc.

Not adding a second cutting edge (with toothbar) will allow me to use my clamp-on bucket forks (Panes).....which prove handy from time to time.

With the new Markham grapple.....I betcha those forks will see limited duty. :licking::D Tommorow I get my couplers....and give this bad-boy a go.

There will be pics. ;)
