I notice that he does not have daytime headlights. You really should have a talk with him about this important safety feature.

Tig, he is safety minded, his harness came unbuckled during the first run so he taped the buckle so it wouldn't come loose on the second run. He was so far in the lead after the first run that he took it easy the second time. He's saving the car for another fair in Harrison Co next Thursday. Maybe have some more videos of that too.

I was just playin the fool with the safety comment. Don't mind me.
I know our local race track and derbys are very strict on how a car is set up and prepped. I'm sure this sort of competition is also well thought out. It looks like a lot of fun to watch.

No offense, I should have put a "roll eyes" emoticon after the remark about the taped buckle. I wouldn't try that even with all the precautions they take, my old bones would be screaming for weeks after a ride like that.:laughing:

Yeah, no kidding about the screaming bones. There was a time I would have loved to do that. Now a days I'd much rather watch from half way up the bleachers.
He probably had to take a moment to collect his thoughts and maybe a few other things after that first ride. :confused2:

40 yrs ago that car was in better shape than anything I COULD AFFORD TO DRIVE LOL

heck I cant remember paying 300 bucks for a car back even then, 50 sure all week long drive it till the tires fell off sell it and buy a different one was my style if ya had a flat it was time for a different car heheeh...

And to think, I used to make fun of Metros! I remember when they first came out, me and a buddy were at a dealer and looked at one. We are both pretty good sized guys and were a lot younger then. We both squatted down and dead lifted the back end off the ground. We were thinking it was going to be a strain, but it was fairly easy.
