i spent my teenage years mowing our lawn on an old international now i find myself on five acres in oregon. the previous owner offered to sell me his yanmar 155d and i spent a few hours on it and decided it just didn't do the job. there is a bit of hill here and it couldn't really make it up. so i am looking for another tractor. i've spent some time on the web this am and am pretty convinced a subcompact 4wd with a loader and belly mower are what i need. the 155 had 13 hp i think and that didn't seem to be enough so i am wondering what people suggest. there is a seller of gray market yanmars in the area what about that option.

I know nothing about gray market tractors but from what I have read there are issues with them that most buyers of brand name tractors don't have to deal with. I guess it's up to the individual to determine if the cost savings is worth the extra hassle of owning a gray market tractor.
