Mowed a few minutes until it started raining. Grass was also wet and very high. Don't under stand the issues with a RD deck. This is my 3rd and love it. The SD lays a piled up row down the side as often or seldom that I mow and the RD lays it down spread out over the cut area. I am on a hillside and ground fairly unlevel so wheels follow dips and some spots a bit higher but on flat ground it lays it down flat and an even cut. Will never go back to SD if I have a choice. I also love the visible and up against it cut on either side and no concern of where I'm blowing grass.JT...would you take pictures of the job your RD does on the long grass? I am trying to decide about a RD myself but I need more info on how they do in longer grass. I have only had the SD decks.![]()
I don't cut my grass down to the dirt, I like it a few inches tall even after it's cut. That may make a difference between SD and RD but I don't know how.
