I was working on the tractor today and did something really really dumb. The lower end of the left lift arm has been bent and spread since I bought the tractor. Today I pulled it off and decided to take a 3# sledge and tap the bend out of it. First hit with the hammer broke the end off of it. The lower end forms an inverted "Y" shape which spans either side of the lower lift arm for the 3PH. It was one side of this "Y" which broke off. I couldn't believe it. I was going to get pictures and totally spaced taking them. I was headed to the dealer any way so I priced and ordered a new piece. $85. Quite a bit less than I was expecting. The upper section of the lift arm has the retaining weld for the ball worn away so I priced that as well. $165. I decided that piece can wait for a while. Might see if a friend of mine can weld a new retaining weld onto it.
