Some people could not afford the higher priced tractors. China just happens to be the source of the lowest priced labor for now. People certainly need a source for parts to any tractor on the market.The market for India, hence Mahindra is set to new sales records very soon. It is one very heavy looking tractor up close.

The Chinese are catching up fast - the latest Siromer / Jinma models take some beating for value for money... For example how many similar sized tractors offer parallel lift on their FEL's as standard?

Likewise other machinery coming out of China such as dozers / graders etc are now offering features not previously seen as standard. OK, so the technology and quality control is still developing, but bet it won't be long before some of the major names are outsourcing production of certain models to China?

I wonder more about how a bunch of wall street executives are still making record amounts of money instead of being in jail, about how we had to penalize lumber producers so that you could pay more for every piece of softwood you buy and how the government can deficit spend itself into the position of some third world countries -- just sayin
