The manual I have for my JD 2520 shows a fuse block with multiple fuses and empty spaces. On my 2001 JD 2520 there is only a small connector with 4 fuses numbered 1 (10 amp), 2 (10 amp), 3 (15 amp) and 4 (25 amp). I want 12 volts out the back to run the pump on my sprayer. My question is what do 1,2,3,4 control and where do I get live 12 volts. The manual also shows a cigar lighter plug beside the rockshaft lever. That doesn't exist either. Can anyone help me with an electrical diagram for this early model? Thanks.

Welcome to TBN:D

It would be best to run a new +12v power fed from the battery to power your sprayer. The factory harness is sized for very little growth, and the draw of a sprayer pump may be to much. Use 12 gauge wire and a 20 amp fuse and you will be all set.

I echo the kennyd welcome. He always has good information.

You might want to check your model year. The current 2520 was not introduced until 2006. There was a different 2520 in the sixties/seventies.

I'd amend that suggestion to using a currently ignition hot source to trigger an appropriately sized relay for that battery sourced power.

I like having everything shut down when I kill the engine, including electrically powered accessories/attachments.

I stand corrected, it is 2006 not 2001. Thanks for the correction.

Yes, great point...I was trying to keep it simple for the OP.
