Yeah your right their R some dumb people even ignorant.

I hope you got a laugh since you're laid up for a while.

Like they say.."Don't come crying to me when things go bad."

Lord help me, I just had the wickedest redneck brainstorm watching the mower in the water.
Take and strap your tractor down to some kind of floating raft, run your PTO shaft thru a fixed sleeve down into the water and mod a propeller attachment on the end. You got yourself a little runabout, along the lines of the old military DUKW (Duck).

I actually felt sorry for the tree, to suffer such humiliation at that guys hands, thought the guy was gonna get a good smack in the face with a branch.

The kid with the firebomb came about an inch away from being the next guest on Oprah without a face!

Yeah, keep em comin, you you aint got nothing better to do, try and pick a couple of beauties for tomorrow :)

Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Uh yup they did that already. Someone posted here a MF tractor strapped to pontoons and used pto to cruise down the river.

PS: ....Hope your feeling better by now Brian,...(I'll play some sweet tunes dedicated to you)....CHEERS! (By the way, JFYI, there are lots of good pedal steelers on You-Tube,...if you still have to have the leg elevated?).

Tug, thanks i am doing much better. I'm up and walking. . .and driving again, just not a stick shift as it was my left knee. doc said i should be all right and that i should be able to do everything i use to with the exception of running marathons. . . . darn. not like i run any way. i just wish he told me that i wouldn't be able to wash dishes or fold cloths:D
anyway thanks again as i am doing better.

Thanks Randall, that is what i miss the most. and i truly mean that. We went to my grandmothers to day and my uncle was talking about cleaning up an old brick pile, told them if they can wait i'd bring the tractor and use the fel and load the trailer. i'm itching to get some "seat time"
Thanks again

I have broken both legs within the last 10 years and it about kills me to be laid up. I had my cast off and was out on my old tractor the same day.

i wish it was that simple for me. i had 85% of my meniscus removed, its the cartilage between you upper and lower leg. kinda like a cushion or shock absorber. I don't know why but after having the surgery your quadracep goes limp. so i have to build up the strength in my leg while getting over the soreness of the surgery. took me 3 day to get off the crutches, and another 3 before i could walk any distance (over 30ft). i'm walking good now, have a little limp but it should go away. i'm just glad that i didn't need to go to physical therapy.

whats crazy is that it happened while walking in the parking lot. . . walking ! ! ! i just wish it happened while trying out for the olympics or while mountain climbing, you something exciting. not just walking. . . that's just embarassing.

You could a made something up we wouldn't have known any difference but hey you do have to live with yourself so I guess its better this way. But it could have been something like I hurt my leg saving a kitten from a pack of coyotes with a stick. :D:D:D

so i had knee surgery on thursday and i've been stuck in my lazyboy with my leg propped up and have been surfing the web and came across these

there are some dumb people in the world
YouTube - The Easy Way to Clean Your PTO Mower

YouTube - Kubota B7100 knocks over a tree

YouTube - tractor flames

YouTube - tractor jackass

there are more but these where the ones that stood out the most.
let me know if ya'll want more.

Hey Big Bri,

Would now be a good time to bring up the hydrostatic vs clutch? <grin>

Hope you are feeling better, and be VERY carefull with the pain meds! people get hooked on that stuff all the time! I was taking Ultram and it took care of the pain (eye pain) but it also gave me a very good outlook... it was very strange.. when I was taking it I just felt like "everything was gonna be alright" ..???? I had a little bit of a hard time getting off of it.

Carry on,
Phill

Phill, thanks for your concern. I'm not a medicine type of guy. i took my pain pills for the first 5 days (4 a day) then i did 2 a day for the next 2 days and haven't taken any sense. i joked with my wife that they didn't work as i had a headake after the surgery (think it was from being put under). weird how the pain pill didn't kill the headake.
Again thanks for the well wishes
Brian

I know what you're going through; I had my knee done three years ago. Happiness is being able to reach your foot to scratch it. :p
