Politics aside, lets just say made here....I don't care who owns the company, a majority of the workers are American. I know it's a broad brush, but we could nit pick it to death.

Gorilla Rack pallet racking - It had a made in USA Label on the formed metal parts but I'll bet the fasteners were made in China as I broke over 1/2 half of them when tightening - the Phillips drive was too deep thus weakening the head structure.

I didn't ask for a zillion opinions, just "Made in USA" products that work as they should. I can't and don't just "buy American". But if I know there is a quality product made here, I will pay a little more or go out of my way to purchase it.

Okay, so what are the regs on labeling where a product is made?

I just looked a can of WD40, says it is mfd'ed for blah, blah, doesn't say where. I know it was invented by a guy in Cleveland. Same for a bottle of AmorAll vinyl protector.

MinWax wood products, stains and urethane, are labeled Made in USA.

I was using my little "Texas Instruments TI-1766, solar and light powered electronic calculator" a few minutes ago when I thought of this thread and thought maybe my old calculator might have been made in the USA. It's only a bit over 25 years old. I bought it on 6/19/1984 for $12.67, including tax. But when I looked at the back of it, it says made in Japan. Even the little manual that I probably hadn't looked at in over 20 years says Printed in Japan on the back.

I just read in the paper recently that the electronic ink that allowed for the development of these new reader devices ..the Kindle...Sony Reader was developed just outside of Boston by a company E-ink but the devices themselves are being produced in Taiwan because no one here makes the display screens.

Same goes for me.
On a similar note, I'llbuy from the the local hardware, auto parts or small engine shop first; especially because they try to give me the best deal they can knowing I'm a regular customer.

I think my HP12C was made in the USA. the back is so worn I can't read it anymore. The HP problem solving guide says "Printed in USA."

Now about that marriage is an institution--I don't remember reading that in the Bible. I do remember reading to love my wife like Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for it. So it's good to be wise about who a person picks as a wife. Mine is definitely USA.
