I don't think the economy is that bad. Am I wrong or is that way to cheap for that unit?

I think that you will find that many folks are put off by outward appearance.. Not because it is that important, it is because they don't know enough about what to look for to feel safe if a tractor shows wear, and tear on the outside. You need to find someone like yourself that will buy it anyway. You are asking slightly more than you paid for just the tractor, and as others have mentioned, times are different in the used tractor field right now. If someone wants your attachments then it is a better deal, but if they are just taking them as part of a package, they won't place much worth on them. Since you are talking about thousands of dollars, it might be worth a new seat, and some detailing, as others have suggested.

My wife and I sold our 2005 B7800 with 60" mid mount mower this past April. 134 hours and in excellent condition. We got $11,000 cash for it. Unable to see your pictures but judging by the comments on the condition of yours from others who have posted, it doesn t sound too pristine. Not to be mean here but that could be the reason it s not selling.

Thanks guys, it seems the overwhelming opinion is to improve the cosmetics of the machine. Although this, to me, seems like a poor use of my limited time, I guess if I want to sell it, it would be the most time effective solution.

I think most buyers probably want a sense that the seller of a machine cares about it, that it's important to them, to get a sense that it's been well cared for and maintained before they take a chance with their hard earned money

You're tractor looks pretty rough. It almost looks abused and neglected, the bucket looks pretty trashed. I'm surprised that loader has enough power to cause that kind of damage. Maybe it is just paint otherwise but maybe is the key word. Who knows for sure? The only indication that you value this machine is your price.

Just my honest opinion, no offense intended.

BTW- I don't know what kind of math skills people may have, but I paid almost double my asking price when I bought the machine.

What you paid for something is irrelevant at sales time. I used to own a car dealership (Honda, Nissan, Isuzu) and people used to love to mention that when they wanted to unload their used vehicle. People who bought Enron at its inflated peak, would loved to have successfully used that argument when they were trying to sell it at the bottom. I doubt they got much of a reaction from buyers.

Well, good thing it is not a "Fire Sale" as your ad states.

My personal opinion is that you bought a new tractor with a FEL and adaptor. OK great. Then you gerry rigged a backhoe you bought used which now leaks, you bought a beat up brush hog, a beat up box blade a beat up bucket, etc. and proceeded to REALLY use the tractor for the 270 hrs you put on it. Then you let it sit outside. In other words, rode hard and put away wet. Lifting capacity of the 7800 FEL is right around 1K lbs. Just judging by the beat up bucket, it is easy to imagine this machine was pushed well past the factory stated limits. Could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Then you decide you wish to sell this cobbled together tractor and abused implements and complain that you can't sell it, but you don't feel it is worth the time or expense to make it presentable.

Can't have it both ways.

Either lower your price so that it will sell, or spend some time and money in order that someone may get the impression it was taken care of. Of course the latter is too late as the whole tractor community has already seen it. That brings you back to square one. Lower the price.

ANYTHING will sell even in todays economy if it is priced accordingly. As I'm sure smfcpacfp will attest to seeing that he was a car dealer, " There is an *ss for every seat".

Not trying to be a dick, just stating the obvious.

Your tractor is in rough condition and the asking price is too high. Don't be hating on others. You asked for the input and provided a link to pictures of a weatherbeaten, abused machine.

If you look at the pics, they show the hour meter and it is only 5.5 hours! That is a NEW machine. I wonder if it is a scam or something - seems way to cheap to me.

Yeah that might be A scam to get you to call and try to sell you something else, I sent email to see if they still have have it and no response.

I see that the ad was posted on March 7th. If it was real, which I doubt, it would be long gone by now.

I sold my Bx24 with very low hours in less than one day for $13,000.00 this summer.

I put it on craigs list and sat evening and had cash in hand by noon Sunday. I had multiple offers too.

And that was early summer when ecomony was even worse.

The market is softer now than this summer. I was at an auction yesterday and a 2008 Komatsu 815-5N skid steer ( 2 speed) with 26 hours sold for$11,000.00 with a bucket.

Interest has picked up recently, and I have gotten some relatively reasonable offers, but everybody still wants to low ball. At this point, I think I will hold onto it throughout the winter and try listing it again in the spring. Not enough time to get a new rig up and running before it gets too cold in the garage.
