CT230 delivery times

I orderd mine on 7/31 and mid September my dealer told me they were back ordered by about 350 and I was pretty much at the bottom of the list. So.... 96 down, 254 to go.

He did say his rep expected mine to be at the dealers mid november though.

Well, I just got mine yesterday. We just had a big storm in the Bay
Area and I have been without power for several days. (11 inches of
rain in 24hrs here!)

Anyway, it took almost 12 weeks and the dealer reports they have
96 still on order. I will post comparisons of the CT230 and my CK30
in a new thread.

Ordered mine 7/8 and after numerous emails to the bobcat website I got a call today from someone who said he was the Regional Sales Mgr and that my ct230 would be shipped from Minn on 10/27 and should be here by 11/1....he said that everyone who ordered one already has a specific tractor and can be tracked by the assigned serial #....we'll see.....I'll let you know.....

Man, that's such a bait and switch tactic.

Should call them on it and use that as a negotiating tip. Nibble $700 off the price of the 230 if you have to wait that long.

Dealer just called.....shipped one day earlier than promised ....should be here by end of week...I'll let you know....

Ordered by CT230 on 30 July, just called by Olathe Bobcat today and tractor is in, FEL being put on, and they will deliver Friday.

Since I am new to tractors....anything I should look for real close or "fix"/"modify" before I put it to work?

Three things:

Check the hyd pressure, check that all the bolts are in and tight, esp
for the loader and wheels, and if you have AG tires, put the wheels in the
widest setting.

I am green as they come!! How do you check hydraulic pressure?? What are the consequences of your elevated pressures and what did it indicate needed to be fixed? On a routine, when do you check pressures?

More than likely will check all "nuts and bolts" and read the manual, if any of that helps.

Yes, AG tires....didn't know they "adjusted out"....why do they need to be at their widest position?

Did you go to the link I posted? Mine arrived last week with pressures set
at 3000psi....they were clearly not checked by the dealer OR the importer.
It is easy to check and adjust, and you only really need to do it once. If
you are a total newbie and not handy, you may want help here. If you
want to tackle it yourself, buy a 4000 or 5000psi guage ($10 or so) and
some adapters. The hoses on your loader are -6 JIC, or you can get
some QA fittings for your AUX valve and put the guage there.

Too high pressure means you can break things, like your FEL cylinders.
Your tractor is specced at 2611psi max.

AG tire wheels have 4 width settings. Your tractor arrives with the wheels
in the narrowest setting for shipping compactness. Wider settings make
the tractor less prone to rollover, esp with the taller AG tires. Your
manual covers that.

I't crazy how long some of you have been waiting. My dealer hit me for the downpayment July 31 (signed quote that week) and it was delivered a month later. Guess luck was on my side.

Ordered July 8th or 9th (I can't remember anymore) and it came in today! I had to go see it with my own eyes and sure enough it was there. Should have it tomorrow.

I am a total newbie, but can learn, but sometimes need assist....plan is to read manual, familiarize with hydraulics, check the stuff...will get gauge and learn how to measure pressures...hope you will still be around for pointers in event I get stalled with questions..will start new string for that...hope you monitor the site

KC Bobcat, Olathe, Ks, called this morning to deliver my CT230. Asked them to check the hydraulic pressures before delivery. Pressures were 2800 psi and they adjusted to 2611.

Manual reading day!!!!

Check the bolts, nuts, etc.

Wax the paint!!!

Park it, too cold and windy today...

Look for implements!!!
