Gator XUV, 2009 vs 2010

Tommy, the floor and head board will be steel. Just the sides and the tailgate are going to be pastic wraped around a steel tube frame. The bed should be available with a "duraliner" type coating also.

i still say it would be better to have a full steel bed and gate.that bed should be fine for regular gardening or hauling dirt or potting soil but i just don't care for plastic when i'm trowing bricks and cement into it. it looks like it has plastic rails on it too juss don't know about the plastic thing i think i could break it in a few days but you never know i have a few plastic guns and they are holding up fine but then again i don't drop cement or bricks on them.we'll just have to see how they hold up cause i like the gator utv's

This is my first time asking a question. I want to buy a 2010 gator gas engine with the most horse power. Have you heard any more about the 825? Are they really making this gator for 2010? Thanks for a reply.

they claiming it will do 44mph. 50+hp is gonna be nice for hauling stuff

No pics yet but I think it's not going to be too different from the current xuv chassis. I have interacted withthe new bed on the TX gator now and that is AWESOME!. I can unlatch and lift the bed with my right hand and never have to put down the beer in my left hand! The same goes with the tail gate.

i talked to my dealer.....went to a dealer meeting last month and he said they look the same but have the ploy/steel bed and 14" alum. wheels stock and 3 cylinder 825cc engine.....next month he is going to florida to test drive and find out cost and when there comin' out....

52hp, wow, double what is there now.
Certainly there is alot of competition in this segment that keeps making things better.
I wish they would slap a little turbo on the diesel and enclose the belt...that would be sweet.

Stopped by a dealer today, and the salesman found some info about the 2010's. It did list the 825i, and it said the availability is summer 2010... Salesman said summer, means about May..

I looked at a new T model with the new bed, nice..

THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE NEW DIESEL DOES HAVE THE CLUTCH ENCLOSURE. AND THE 4 SEATER SHOULD COME OUT NEXT YEAR. HE SAID IT IS VERY FAST AND CAN OUT PULL THE COMPETITION BY FAR. ESPECIALLY AGAINST THE KUBOTA. HAVE ANY OF YOU DRIVEN A KUBOTA RTV. ITS LIKE DRIVING A BRICK. AND ALSO GUTLESS. SORRY TO BE A HATER, BUT WHY WOULD YOU BUY ONE OF THOSE?

Can you say air conditioning, power steering, hydro dump bed. these are just a few of the reasons i have one.

There making a 4 seater now, dat will be the best, my pops just bought an XUV 620i 2 weeks ago and it is 10 times better than my cousins ranger 500. Are they makeing the 4 seater 4 all of all of the XUVs or just the 825i
I heard that it was gas EFI,

But the 825i will kick the polaris rangers butt when it comes out
Any picks yet or pricing or when it will come out

John deere is the best UTV on the market

That opinion based...

We had a gator, and it wouldnt handle our property. It needed to get around rough property and the gator just couldn't handle it.

We now have a Ranger, and we did test drive teh 09 Gator, and found the Ranger to be able to turn sharper, and go over the rougher terrain.

After we bought our Scag from local Deere dealer, we told them we jsut picked up a Ranger and they said for our area, the Ranger was a better unit, and the fact that it could carry 6 people and a full load...

I like the new Gators, but the Ranger is more of a giant ATV made for UTV use (always tow our 3k lb trailer around and hauling logs with it)... Never had an issue.

And the Ranger 500 isnt the most powerful thing around, you should compare it to the 700 or the new 800.

I am planing to get a new Gator in the next six months. Wondered what you would recommend. I like the thought of the 2010 850D, but would be willing to look at a gas model in Camo as well. I have heard about the 825i from this thread and wondered if it is coming in Camo? Not a deal breaker. Any advantage or disadvantage to a gas versus a Diesel model? I do really like the new box and only want one with the new box on it. Would prefer a four seater, but have not heard much about that and don't know if I want to wait for it to come out. Any word on that? Any help would be great.
