I have a M/F 1010 with a factory 1014 loader and wanted to increase the ability of the loader to lift a little more than the factory 500 lbs to around 8-900 lbs
Would putting a larger pump increase lift?

Generally no.
You would need some combination of larger diameter cylinders, perhaps higher pressure and almost certainly more ballast on the back.

EDIT:
I had meant to add that even then there is no guaranty that the lift arms or some other part wouldn't fail.
It is probably dangerous to upgrade ONLY the hydraulics and finish up with the capacity to lift more than the frame of the loader can safely carry.
Stability is another issue. Lifting 800 or 900 lbs with a tractor designed and built to lift 500 lbs is one thing.
CARRYING that load is another thing and in my experience there isn't a lot of point in lifting something if I don't have a need to put it somewhere else.

Also, all four cylinders would probably need to be upsized, no point in lifting it if the curl/dump it back/forwards to maintain level.
This is moot if the frame can't (/shouldn't be asked to) take it anyway.
:END EDIT
